Licensing Manager

What you’ll do

  • This position includes key category oversight and implementation of the business strategy for Toho properties (Primarily GODZILLA) in North America, Latin America and Australia/New Zealand.
  • Development of licensing strategy for Toho properties in business territory and advice to Managing Director on policies and procedures for Licensing Division
  • You will be empowered to deliver financial targets against dedicated brand objectives
  • Understand functions of the retail landscape, key categories, target demographic, market potential, consumer insight and trends, and credible players in the field
  • Support crafting strategic merchandise licensing programs, including identifying and assessing new product opportunities and partners, anticipating roadblocks and proactively taking measures to address them
  • Review, negotiate and analyze business terms and contracts
  • Own the day-to-day relationship with Licensees, facilitating line planning, product development, and promotional / retail marketing
  • Lead all aspects of annual budgeting and quarterly financial planning.  Maintain and update revenue forecasts.


What you’ll bring

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in consumer-packaged goods’ licensing, marketing, or sales
  • College Degree in Commerce, Business, or related field required
  • Results oriented, ambitious self-starter, capable of working independently
  • Ability to prioritize and operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong commercial mindset and sales skills are a requirement
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Outstanding presentation skills paired with creativity, flexibility, enthusiasm, and passion
