Account Executive, Agency Acquisition

The Role

You will be a front-line hunter on UKON's sales team, reporting to our executive team. Your job is to open new independent insurance agency relationships and bring them into the UKON Cyber Practice.

This is a net new role. We are not looking for someone to manage an existing book. We want someone who picks up the phone, builds relationships fast, and closes. You will own your pipeline end to end, from first conversation to signed partnership, and hand new agencies off to our implementation team and Cyber Practice Leaders to get them producing.

You will have support from UKON's SDR team, which is managed by marketing and generates meetings and pipeline alongside you. That support adds to your pipeline; it does not replace it. You are expected to source and screen your own opportunities through cold outreach every day. You will not be handed a script. You should be self-directed, high energy, and comfortable pushing marketing for more pipeline when you need it. If you already know agency principals and producers who would benefit from a better cyber partner, even better.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect, qualify, and close new independent insurance agency partnerships, running your own screening calls to decide where to spend your time.
  • Generate your own pipeline through daily cold outreach by phone, email, and LinkedIn, plus referrals, events, and your existing network.
  • Run discovery and present the UKON Cyber Practice to agency principals and producers.
  • Partner with marketing to sharpen messaging, campaigns, and lead flow, and push for more pipeline when you need it.
  • Work closely with our marketing-led SDR team on targeting, meeting handoffs, and follow-up, and turn the opportunities they create into signed partnerships.
  • Hand off signed agencies cleanly to implementation and Cyber Practice Leaders, and stay involved until they are active.
  • Keep pipeline and activity data current in our CRM.
  • Bring market feedback back to leadership on what agencies need and where we win and lose.

What You Bring

  • A proven track record of net new business development driven by your own cold outreach, not by inbound leads, retention, or account management.
  • Experience in wholesale insurance or in insurtech or SaaS sales to insurance agents and agencies.
  • Existing relationships with independent insurance agencies that you can activate from day one.
  • High energy, an outgoing personality, and the drive to work without being told what to do next.
  • Comfort picking up the phone, building rapport quickly, and asking for the business.
  • Experience working alongside marketing and an SDR team to build pipeline, while still generating your own.
  • Strong organization and discipline in managing a pipeline and following up.

Bonus Points

  • A property and casualty insurance license.
  • Experience selling cyber insurance or cybersecurity services.
  • Familiarity with managed service providers or agency management systems.
  • Experience as an early sales hire at a growing company.

What Success Looks Like

  • You consistently open and sign new agency partnerships.
  • Your pipeline is full, largely self-sourced, current, and visible to leadership.
  • New agencies move smoothly from signature to implementation.
  • Your feedback helps UKON sharpen how we market and sell to agencies.

About UKON

UKON exists to help every business survive a cyberattack.
Formerly known as FifthWall Solutions, we have grown from our foundation as a specialized cyber insurance wholesaler into a full-service cyber revenue partner for independent insurance agencies and managed service providers. We give our partners the technology, processes, carrier access, and expertise they need to deliver sophisticated cyber capabilities without the cost and complexity of building an internal cyber department.
Today, our team works inside our partners’ books of business to identify uninsured companies, understand their risk, secure the right coverage, and help get more businesses protected. With access to more than 50 carriers and differentiated coverage options, including custom endorsements for emerging risks such as agentic AI, we help businesses understand what they are buying and how their coverage will respond when they need it most.
We are building the AI-native operating system that will make this work scalable. Our platform brings together fragmented agency data, cybersecurity context, carrier appetite, quoting, communications, and workflows to shorten the distance between an uninsured business and a protected one.
For us, AI-native does not mean adding a chatbot to an existing product. It means embedding intelligence throughout the platform so the system can understand the context of a user’s work, recommend the right next action, and help complete that action within the workflow. Because we operate in insurance, we care as much about accuracy, reliability, auditability, data privacy, and user control as we do about model capability.
Our mission is ambitious but simple: close the estimated $10 trillion cyber protection gap and ensure every business can survive a cyberattack.
