Travel RN/LPN

The Travel RN will be responsible for ensuring quality patient care, implementation, and compassion within the home setting. The Travel RN will be expected to be available in a certain market that will be discussed prior to starting. The Travel RN will report to a RN Case Manager or one of our team schedulers.

Duties:   Provision of personal assistive care which may include, but is not limited to, the following:

·      Bathing and dressing of patient. Bathing may be a bed bath, shower, or tub

·      Personal hygiene. Oral care, nail care, and basic hygiene and grooming

·      Mobility assistance including ambulation, wheel chair mobility, bed mobility

·      Toileting, including appropriate care for catheters, ostomies and other such devices

·      Meal preparation/ assistance with nutritional intake if necessary

·      Turning of bedridden clients and changing of bed clothes, soiled sheets

·      Laundry, vacuuming, dusting and other such cleaning tasks

·      Organization of client’s room or personal living space

·      Kitchen tasks including washing dishes, emptying/loading dishwasher, etc.

·      Client errands and transportation (medication pick up/grocery shopping. etc)

·      Vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, temperature)

·      Recording of intake and output (urine and bowel movements)

·      Reporting client’s mood, behavior or other emotional status

·      Regularly assess the nursing needs of the client

·      Participate in the establishment and implementation of the client’s service plan

·      Provide nursing services as needed and in accordance with the client’s service plan

·      Report all problems, changes in condition, and progress of client to the Case Manager

·      and the client’s personal physician as soon as the nurse is aware.                   

·      Medication Administration/Management as needed

·      Complete all clinical documentation appropriately and within acceptable time frame.

Working conditions:

·      Daily driving to and from appointments with clients and to the Agency office

·      Flexible work week to include weekends and holidays if needed, for which compensation will be provided

·      Other conditions may be indicated based on clients, employees or business environment

·      Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds

Minimum Qualifications:

·      Current, valid license as a registered professional nurse, licensed practical/vocational nurse

·      Reliable personal vehicle with valid insurance

·      Negative criminal background history check and pre-employment drug screening

·      Proficient use of spoken and written English
