The Opportunity

As an Insurance Advisor, you'll work as part of a personal lines insurance pod reporting to a team Sales Manager. This is a fast-paced, phone-driven role, and is a great fit for someone who is coachable, competitive, and energized by a busy queue.

What You'll Do

• Handle a high volume of inbound inquiries from prospective clients, along with outbound follow-up calls on quotes, leads, and referrals.
• Conduct a needs-based conversation with every client to understand their situation, then quote and place the best available home, auto, and other personal lines coverage for their needs.
• Cross-sell and round out accounts (e.g., bundling home and auto, adding umbrella or other lines) wherever it's the right fit for the client.
• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets for calls, quotes, and written and retained policies. Established goals may vary month to month and are based on business volume.
• Accurately document every client interaction, application, and policy detail in the agency management system (AMS) and CRM.
• Hand off bound policies cleanly to your pod's Client Service Advisor, with the context and documentation they need to service the account well from day one.
• Partner with your Client Service Advisor and Sales Manager on retention — flagging at-risk accounts you hear about, and staying looped in on service issues that could affect a renewal.
• Participate in coaching sessions, call reviews, and team huddles, and actively apply feedback to improve conversion and quality.
• Stay current on carrier appetite, product changes, and underwriting guidelines that affect how you write business.
• Help build and refine the scripts, playbooks, and workflows that will define how every future Haven advisor is trained — this is a ground-floor role.

What You'll Bring

• Active Property & Casualty (P&C) or Personal Lines insurance license (required); multi-state licensure a plus.
• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced sales or call center environment; personal lines insurance sales experience strongly preferred.
• A consistent track record of hitting production, conversion, or quota-based goals.
• Strong needs-assessment and cross-selling instincts — you look for the whole-account opportunity, not just the single policy in front of you.
• Comfort with CRM and quoting/rating systems, and the discipline to keep documentation clean and current.
• Excellent phone presence — clear, warm, and confident communication with clients from first call to close.
• Coachability — you take feedback well and apply it quickly.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, early-stage, remote-first environment where processes are still being built.
• An entrepreneurial mindset — you're energized, not intimidated, by building something at an early stage where the playbook is still being written.

What Success Looks Like
After completing training:

• You consistently meet or exceed your production targets.
• Your quote-to-bind conversion rate and cross-sell/rounding rate are strong and improving.
• Your policy documentation and application quality consistently pass QA review.
• You're a positive, engaged presence within your pod — someone your teammates and Sales Manager can count on.

Pay & Benefits

We believe in recognizing our employees for the good work they do. Haven offers a competitive base pay in addition to monthly commissions, so your paycheck grows with the clients you help. Here's what else comes with the job:
