Director of Clinical Operations

About WovenX Health

WovenX Health is building a new model for specialty care, starting in Gastroenterology. We combine virtual care, clinical navigation, and artificial intelligence to help patients access high-quality care faster while supporting health systems and physician practices across the country. As we continue to scale nationally, we're looking for leaders who enjoy building intelligent systems, solving complex operational problems, and creating world-class clinical infrastructure that enables growth.

About the role

We're looking for a Director of Clinical Operations to lead the operational infrastructure behind WovenX's national clinical network. You'll oversee our distributed advanced practice provider network across 50 states + DC, while helping build the operating platform that connects virtual care with physician practices, endoscopy centers, and health systems. Working closely with Clinical, Product, Engineering, and Growth, you are responsible for improving the workflows, analytics, processes, and systems that allow high-quality specialty care to scale.

What you'll own

  • Lead day-to-day operations for WovenX's virtual care and clinical navigation programs, which include primary responsibility for our virtual visit infrastructure and real-time staffing across sites, states, and clinicians. Think of this as the lead of driver engagement and markets at Lyft or Uber: the product manager and director of our WovenX care delivery systems.
  • Manage and grow a national network of advanced practice providers, ensuring provider engagement, performance, and capacity.
  • Build scalable operational processes that connect virtual care with brick-and-mortar physician practices and health system partners. This includes but is not limited to building tools, applications, and constraint models that are able to account for a number of variables: legal, clinical, staffing, operational, and analytical.
  • Build dashboards, KPIs, and reporting that drive operational decision-making and tooling.
  • Oversee provider onboarding, credentialing, scheduling, and operational readiness.
  • Monitor clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and performance.
  • Partner closely with Clinical, Product, Engineering, and Growth to improve workflows and launch in new markets.
  • Lead operational escalations and continuous process improvement across the clinical platform.

What you bring

  • A desire to drive our team and business forward and have a meaningful impact. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, an appetite for startup culture, and excitement about transforming how healthcare works.
  •  5+ years of experience, leading operations in healthcare, virtual care, or a high-growth healthcare services organization. Ideally looking for someone who has worked in healthcare operations at an AI-led or big tech company.
  • Experience leading and developing a distributed network of advanced practice providers and / or physicians.
  • Demonstrated success building operational systems
  • Experience launching new markets, standing up clinical operations, and scaling care delivery. Ideally looking for experience across multiple states’ and legislative settings.
  • A strong operational mindset with the ability to build processes, measure performance, and continuously improve quality.
  • Comfort partnering with Product and Engineering to translate clinical workflows into scalable technology.
  • Experience using workflow automation, AI-enabled tools, and operational data to improve clinical quality, efficiency, and provider experience. Ideally looking for candidates who have built internal applications and analytics tools, or directly managed data and performance tracking.
  •  Excellent judgment, communication, and relationship-building skills across clinical, operational, and commercial teams.
  • A builder's mentality - you enjoy creating systems that scale rather than maintaining legacy processes.

Your skills and credentials

  • Masters in Operations, Statistics, Analytics, Business Administration, or similar field is a plus but not required (we are most focused on your real experience building in operations and clinical environments)
  • Product managers (technical or core PM), former consultants, and operational leads with analytical and P&L responsibility most welcome.
  • Past startup experience preferred.
  • Comfort with analytical or technical platforms, enough to build models in excel, python, AWS, SQL, or similar platforms and structures that enable you to track performance, interpret data, and launch tooling and systems together with our engineering team. Comfort with AI tools and workflows.
  • Rigorous attention to detail.
