Senior Accountant – Operations Accounting & Reporting

Your Mission

  • We are building an operations accounting and reporting function to support manufacturing at scale and complex contractual arrangements (structured brand deals, royalties, and cost-sharing). In this role, you will own operations accounting end-to-end. You'll help design the accounting workflows, reporting structures, and dimensions needed to support our growing finance organization.


What you'll do

  • This is a hands-on role at the intersection of operations and accounting. You'll own the complete cycle of operations accounting - tracking production and associated costs, managing inventory, analyzing variances, and reporting on contractual arrangements. You'll play a critical role in the ERP implementation, particularly in designing accounting workflows that support both internal and external reporting.


Your profile

  • Required
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
    • Minimum five years of accounting experience, including cost accounting, inventory
    • accounting, or operations accounting.
    • Strong knowledge of production accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting.
    • Advanced Excel skills (PowerQuery, pivot tables, XLOOKUP, index-match, financial modeling).
    • Comfort working with large datasets, SQL queries, and analytical tools (e.g., Power BI).
    • Excellent attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills.
    • Clear communication skills and fluent written and spoken English.
    • Ability to take ownership, work independently, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Preferred
    • CPA or equivalent accounting credential.
    • Experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606) for complex or contingent arrangements.
    • Background in manufacturing, footwear, consumer goods, or capital-intensive industries.
    • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Business Central, NetSuite, or similar ERP.
    • Experience designing accounting structures, cost allocations, and/or chart-of-accounts
    • frameworks.
    • Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
    • Experience supporting ERP implementations or system migrations.
