About the role

Are you someone who enjoys helping people understand something new? Do you have a natural ability to explain information clearly, make people feel comfortable, and turn a potentially confusing process into a positive experience?

As an Education Specialist, you'll be one of the first people to help new members get started. You'll connect with new members by phone, conduct personalized orientation calls, and walk them through how to access and use their membership and available resources. Your goal is simple: make sure members understand what they have, how to use it, and where to go when they need help.

This position is part of our Member Services team and plays an important role in creating a positive member experience from the very beginning.

What you'll do

  • Welcome and educate new members through live orientation presentations for new business groups and individual members, helping them understand their membership, guidelines, processes, and available resources.
  • Provide clear, compassionate, and accurate information to members through phone, email, chat, and live presentations.
  • Lead engaging member orientation presentations that make important information easy to understand and help new members feel confident using and navigating their membership.
  • Support the Member Support team between scheduled presentations by answering member calls, responding to inquiries, resolving concerns, and providing the same high level of service members expect from our team.
  • Listen to member questions and concerns, providing thoughtful assistance and connecting members with the appropriate team or resource when additional support is needed.
  • Help develop and improve educational materials and resources that make membership information easier for members to understand and use.
  • Document member interactions and feedback accurately and identify opportunities to improve member education, communication, and the overall member experience.
  • Collaborate with Member Support and other departments to ensure members receive consistent, accurate, and helpful information throughout their experience.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, education, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable speaking to individuals and groups in both virtual and live settings.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to explain complex topics in a simple, relatable way.
  • Passion for helping others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the healthcare or health sharing industry.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and webinar platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).

Why You'll Love This Role

This isn't just a phone-based customer service position. You'll have the opportunity to make a difference in someone's experience from the very beginning by helping them understand and confidently use something they may initially find complicated.
