OVERVIEW OF ROLE 

We’re looking for a curious, proactive and results driven Financial Accountant who wants to support the transformation of the finance function and support the business through our growth trajectory. You will collaborate with both finance and the broader business to modernise workflows, lead and implement process improvement initiatives while keeping an eye on compliance.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 


Core Accounting 

Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting with relevant accounting standards (AASB/IFRS), including financial analysis and insights

Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee reconciliations 

Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required


Audit, Risk & Compliance 

Support external audits and compliance requirements 

Assist with the redesign, implementation and monitoring of accounting policies to safeguard against business risk

Assist with preparation of the R&D tax incentives

Stay up-to-date on global tax regulations


Process Improvement & Projects 

Embed AI directly into day to day finance  

Providing input into testing and implementation of a new ERP system

Assist with finance transformation projects and new initiatives

Partner with other departments (e.g. Marketing, Sales, Operations) to ensure accurate financial reporting



About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • CA or CPA qualification (or actively pursuing)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a high-growth or start-up environment
  • Strong technical accounting skills (AASB and IFRS)
  • Proven experience in managing the month-end close process and preparing financial statements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and a positive mindset
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt
