Warehouse Associate I

Afton Scientific is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate I to join our Materials team. This position plays an important role in supporting manufacturing operations by receiving, inspecting, storing, and moving materials while helping maintain accurate inventory and efficient warehouse operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an employee who is organized, enjoys hands-on work, and is interested in developing experience within Afton's Supply Chain organization.

Compensation

$19.00 – $24.00 per hour

Placement within the range will be based on qualifications, relevant experience, internal equity, and demonstrated competencies.

Primary Responsibilities

·         Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against appropriate documentation.

·         Inspect incoming materials for damage or defects and promptly report discrepancies.

·         Complete required receiving and release documentation accurately and on time.

·         Perform incoming material release checks, including garment processing and tray tests.

·         Store and organize materials appropriately and efficiently.

·         Perform inventory transactions, material releases, and system transfers.

·         Conduct cycle counts and participate in physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy.

·         Deliver packages, collect Kanban cards, and support internal material movement throughout the facility.

·         Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.

·         Ensure materials are received, stored, and shipped safely and accurately.

·         Maintain clean and organized warehouse and loading dock areas.

·         Participate in continuous improvement activities that strengthen warehouse and supply chain operations.

 

Minimum Qualifications

·         Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

·         Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

·         Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

·         Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing work environment.

·         Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, primarily Outlook, Word, and Excel.

·         Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

·         Demonstrated initiative and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.

·         Ability to read and write effectively.

 

Preferred Knowledge and Experience

·         Previous warehouse, inventory management, receiving, or material handling experience.

·         Experience with SAP or another ERP/inventory management system.

·         Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment.

·         Associate or bachelor's degree.

 

Physical & Work Requirements

·         Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as part of routine warehouse and material receiving activities.

·         Ability to work primarily within a warehouse environment.

·         Ability to wear a respirator and other required personal protective equipment.

·         Regular on-site attendance is required.
