Job Title: Warehouse Driver

Location: Alfred HQ - West Hollywood / Van Nuys

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Wage: $20 - $22 per hour (part-time) 


The Warehouse Driver plays a vital role in keeping Alfred cafes operating efficiently by ensuring timely, accurate deliveries from the warehouse to cafe locations throughout the greater Los Angeles area. This position combines local driving with hands-on warehouse operations, including loading and unloading inventory, stocking products, receiving shipments, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment.


What You'll Do


Delivery & Distribution

  • Complete scheduled deliveries to Alfred cafes accurately, efficiently, and on time. 
  • Coordinate scheduled and ad hoc delivery requests through Slack, email, and other internal communication channels. 
  • Deliver inventory, commissary products, café supplies, wholesale orders, catering, invoices, and other business materials to designated locations. 
  • Verify all deliveries and pickups for accuracy while maintaining organized delivery documentation. 
  • Safely load, transport, and unload products using proper material-handling techniques while maintaining product quality and organization. 
  • Operate company vehicles safely and professionally in compliance with all traffic laws, company policies, and vehicle safety standards.

Warehouse Operations

  • Receive, inspect, unload, organize, and stock incoming deliveries, inventory, and pallets. 
  • Pick, pack, and stage cafe orders to ensure accurate and timely distribution. 
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment, including storage areas, loading zones, and workstations. 
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock shortages, damaged products, or discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager. 
  • Assist with inventory and cycle counts, and other inventory control initiatives as needed. 
  • Assist with warehouse projects, furniture moves, equipment setup, and general operational support. 
  • Maintain company vehicles by monitoring cleanliness, fueling, routine maintenance, and service records. 
  • Collect, organize, and file packing slips, invoices, and delivery documentation. 
  • Follow all company safety procedures and proper material-handling practices when operating warehouse equipment and transporting inventory.

Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional warehouse, logistics, or delivery experience is a plus.
  • Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a hospitality-first mindset.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing daily business needs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable using email, Slack, and other workplace communication tools.
  • Positive attitude with a collaborative, team-first approach.
  • Sound judgment and strong problem-solving abilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance.
  • Load, unload, and transport boxes, inventory, and equipment between delivery vehicles, warehouse storage, and cafe locations using dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment.
  • Stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and twist frequently throughout scheduled shifts.
  • Remain on your feet for extended periods in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Sit for extended periods while operating a company vehicle during local delivery routes.
  • Possess sufficient visual acuity to safely operate a vehicle, inspect inventory, read labels, and complete delivery documentation.
