Head of Biometrics

About Alto Neuroscience, Inc.

At Alto Neuroscience, you will play a pivotal role in advancing precision psychiatry and improving how mental health disorders are treated. Join us in building the next generation of personalized neuroscience-based therapeutics.

Primary Role

The Head of Biometrics provides executive oversight and leadership for Alto’s clinical data strategy across Phase 2 and Phase 3 development programs.

This role bridges the gap between complex data and strategic business decisions, transforming clinical outputs into intuitive visual narratives that drive execution. Serving as a grounded subject matter expert and people leader you will orchestrate a lean, high-performing mix of internal strategy and external /consultants to support Alto’s precision psychiatry portfolio.

What you'll do

  • Strategic Enterprise Leadership: Lead the holistic biometrics strategy, spanning data management, statistical strategy, programming, and data visualization, to support corporate objectives and clinical milestones across Phase 2/3 CNS trials.
  • Data Visualization & Storytelling: Design, interpret, and present clear, intuitive data visualizations and dashboards that translate complex quantitative outputs into actionable, decision-ready insights for executive leadership, board members, and cross-functional teams.
  • Consultant & Vendor Orchestration: Direct and manage external vendors and specialized statistical consultants; hold partner teams accountable for high-quality, timely deliverables including SAPs, database locks, TLFs, and regulatory submissions.
  • Practical Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the internal voice of authority on biometrics strategy, knowing how to evaluate trial design, endpoints, and data integrity without needing to perform hand-rolled statistical derivations.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate seamlessly with Clinical Operations, Medical, Translational Medicine, Regulatory, and Engineering to integrate data workflows, support health authority interactions, and streamline precision medicine/digital endpoint strategies.
  • Scalable Operations & Governance: Build scalable data processes, standards (CDISC, SDTM/ADaM), and vendor management frameworks to support Alto’s growth from mid-stage clinical trials into commercial readiness.
