Supply Chain & PMC Lead

About the role

NovaFlex is seeking a Supply Chain & PMC Lead to support the launch and operation of our U.S. manufacturing facility.

This position will be responsible for production planning, material planning, supplier development, procurement coordination, logistics coordination, and inventory management. During the startup phase, the focus will be on building supply chain processes, developing local suppliers, and supporting facility readiness. Following production launch, the role will lead production planning and material control activities while supporting overall supply chain performance and execution.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building systems from the ground up and wants to play a key role in a growing manufacturing operation.

During the startup phase, this role will help establish procurement, warehouse, logistics, and inventory management processes. As the team expands, dedicated personnel will assume those operational responsibilities, allowing this position to focus primarily on PMC, production planning, material planning, and supply chain leadership.

What You'll Focus On

During Factory Startup

  • Establish supply chain and PMC processes for the U.S. operation.
  • Build production planning and material planning workflows.
  • Develop and qualify local suppliers for packaging materials, indirect materials, office supplies, PPE, and service providers.
  • Coordinate sourcing and procurement of startup materials and operational supplies.
  • Establish receiving, logistics, and inventory management processes.
  • Support facility construction activities and production readiness efforts.
  • Work closely with headquarters to align material planning, sourcing, and supply chain activities.

After Production Launch

  • Lead production planning and material planning activities.
  • Monitor material availability and inventory levels to support production schedules.
  • Manage supplier performance and delivery execution.
  • Coordinate supply chain activities across Production, Quality, Procurement, and Warehouse teams.
  • Track supply chain KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the transition of day-to-day purchasing execution and logistics follow-up to future procurement personnel.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Material Control

  • Create and maintain production schedules based on customer demand and business priorities.
  • Manage material requirements planning (MRP) to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Monitor production progress and coordinate resolution of material shortages or scheduling conflicts.
  • Maintain accurate planning and inventory-related data.

Supply Chain Coordination

  • Coordinate activities among Production, Quality, Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, and headquarters teams.
  • Monitor material availability and identify potential supply risks before they impact production.
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of supply chain processes.

Supplier Development & Procurement Support

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop local suppliers.
  • Support supplier qualification, sourcing activities, and supplier performance management.
  • Coordinate purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier communications.
  • Assist with supplier selection and sourcing projects.

Logistics & Inventory Coordination

  • Coordinate inbound shipments, receiving activities, and warehouse operations.
  • Track shipments and resolve delivery delays or logistics issues.
  • Support inventory control activities, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Ensure smooth material flow from receiving through production.

Reporting & Systems

  • Maintain planning, purchasing, inventory, and supplier records.
  • Support ERP transactions and data maintenance.
  • Prepare reports and planning metrics to support operational decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate supply chain documentation and records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Background in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related fields preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Production Planning, PMC, Procurement, or Logistics.
  • Manufacturing experience required.
  • Experience supporting factory startup projects is highly preferred.
  • Experience in renewable energy, advanced materials, chemical, or industrial manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • English required.
  • Mandarin Chinese preferred.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of production planning, material planning, inventory control, and supplier management.
  • Experience with supplier development and procurement coordination.
  • ERP system experience preferred.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
