Intern Analyst, Asset Management

The Intern Analyst will work within the US Asset Management team, located in our Montreal office. Their role consists of supporting the monitoring, analysis, and optimization of Axium’s renewable energy and infrastructure assets. This internship is ideal for students interested in finance, engineering, sustainability, and infrastructure investment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in monitoring financial and operational performance metrics for assigned assets.
  • Support variance analysis for operating budgets and capital plans.
  • Help compile ESG-related data and performance indicators.
  • Conduct market research related to infrastructure and renewable energy sectors.
  • Assist in reviewing documentation related to asset performance, project development, or due diligence.
  • Track project schedules, construction progress, and budget updates for active capital projects.
  • Prepare internal presentations, summaries, and dashboards to support reporting.
  • Support communication with operating partners, advisors, and internal stakeholders.


PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, economics, sustainability, or a related field.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Professionalism, initiative, and willingness to learn.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with other data tools is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (oral and written) (French and English) in order to be able to deal on a daily basis with our colleagues in offices outside Quebec as well as with our external partners across Canada, the United States and internationally.
