Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Greet members and guests promptly and courteously, provide exceptional service, and assist with requests throughout their visit.

• Maintain a professional image and conduct at all times, including a clean-shaven appearance at the start of each shift in accordance with company grooming standards.

• Stay informed about club activities and services, provide directions and club information, and promote available amenities.

• Address and resolve member and guest complaints promptly and professionally while serving as a Bluejack National ambassador and upholding club customs, culture, and guidelines.

• Assist members and guests with loading, unloading, and transporting golf bags, luggage, and personal belongings, including carrying players’ bags to and from golf carts at the range.

• Set up and break down practice facilities, including the driving range, “The Playground,” short game areas, practice putting green, and golf performance center, “The Place.”

• Collect range balls throughout the day and thoroughly clear the range at night.

• Coordinate with the Starter to assist groups as they proceed to the golf course.

• Clean players’ golf clubs after use and before they leave the range.

• Replenish bottled water and ice in coolers throughout the practice areas.

• Clear golf balls from the putting and chipping greens between player sessions and remove broken tees and divots from the hitting tier after each session.

• Update yardages to target greens when hitting stations are moved.

• Keep practice grounds and outdoor furniture clean and presentable, removing trash and other debris as needed.

• Safely park and retrieve members’ and guests’ vehicles in a timely manner, taking appropriate care with each vehicle.

• Operate automatic- and manual-transmission vehicles, luxury vehicles, golf carts, and other club vehicles in accordance with applicable safety policies.

• Tag and log vehicles accurately and ensure keys and valuables are stored securely to prevent confusion or delays.

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the valet stand and parking areas.

• Monitor golf carts and club vehicles for maintenance needs and promptly report necessary repairs.

• Drive the employee shuttle to and from designated employee parking areas, maintaining a regular and timely schedule.

• Work collaboratively with team members across departments and perform additional duties as requested by Bluejack leadership.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Prior experience in a high-end golf or country club setting or in the hospitality industry is a plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with members, guests, colleagues, management, ownership, prospective members, and vendors.

• Enjoy working with members, guests, and children, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.

• Ability to remain effective under pressure, establish priorities, and adapt to changing conditions.

• Strong work ethic, sound judgment, and a sense of responsibility.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience.

APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS:

Flexible schedule based on business needs, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Soliciting gratuities from members or guests is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Gratuities include items such as cash, favors, gifts, tickets to events, and other forms of non-financial compensation.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and meet the driver safety policy requirements.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions. Our property sits on 767 acres and features many indoor and outdoor facilities that make up the work environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and move around for the entirety or majority of their shift. This may involve standing for 6 to 10 hours. The employee may be working outside or inside and in different types of weather, including excessive heat, cold temperatures, rain, and sunshine. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is also regularly required to push, pull, bend, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This role requires the safe operation of golf carts and other vehicles to travel between areas of the property and perform transportation duties.
