Bookmans Entertainment Exchange has been serving Arizona communities for nearly 50 years. Originally a used bookstore, Bookmans has expanded to include various forms of media such as books, video games, music and movies as well as musical instruments, housewares, and collectibles. We buy, sell, and trade with our customers to acquire the majority of our inventory, proudly following a sustainable business model that keeps items out of landfills and gives them new life. Additionally, Bookmans speaks out against censorship and promotes freedom of expression at every turn.

Job Responsibilities:

Contributes to the regular and efficient circulation of books in the store through effective stocking

of merchandise. Responsible for leading and promoting a customer-friendly store atmosphere by

providing exceptional customer assistance. All job duties are performed with a customer-service

mindset while working within company policy and procedures.

Job Requirements:

• Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Customer Service requires patience, kindness, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with diverse communities and customer needs.
• Professional telephone skills
• Ability to adapt to a flexible working schedule to include early mornings, evenings, midshifts, and weekends.
• Diverse Book knowledge.
• Understanding of the pricing, trading, and discount systems at Bookmans.
• Ability to stock shelves while maintaining alphabetization, organization, and displays.
• General knowledge of products sold at Bookmans.
• Knowledge of store sections and layout.
• Ability to work independently with guidance and direction from the Book Department Supervisor/Lead and Store Management.
• Ability to use reference materials.
• Must be able to conduct oneself in a civil, professional, and respectful manner at work.

This is a part-time position (less than 30 hours per week).

Seasonal Retail Staff positions are Part-Time and of limited duration (November 8, 2026 – January 9, 2027)
