JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for fuel injector assembly and testing.
  • Lead APQP activities, PFMEA development, and control plan creation.
  • Support production, quality, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product launches and process validation.
  • Drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost improvement projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes for fuel injector assembly and testing.
  • Lead APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, and process validation activities.
  • Support production operations and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for quality, safety, and productivity.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams on new product launches.
  • Analyze process performance and implement corrective and preventive actions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Process Engineering.
  • Experience with APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and process validation.
  • Strong background in assembly, testing, and production support.
  • Experience with continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Automotive or fuel systems manufacturing experience preferred.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:  

  • Knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow Development.
  • Experience with manufacturing process development, assembly, and testing.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Experience with process validation, production support, and quality systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and project management skills.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of automotive manufacturing and quality systems.
  • Project management and process optimization experience.
  • Ability to lead process improvement and new product launch activities.
