Purpose
The Sales Development Coordinator drives the top of Citadel Aviation’s sales funnel, turning the target aircraft and decision-makers that Business Development identifies into engaged contacts and booked meetings for the Regional Sales Directors. The role owns outbound outreach, first-level lead qualification, nurture-campaign execution, and meeting and aircraft-visit coordination across an assigned set of territories or account tiers.
Working from aircraft-based target lists rather than generic contact lists, the Sales Development Coordinator moves prospects through the earliest stages of the sales process (Target, Contact Identified, and Engaged) and hands qualified opportunities to the territory owner with the context needed to advance them. Success looks like a steady flow of well-qualified meetings, prompt response to inbound and campaign-generated leads, and prospect records that are accurate, current, and complete.
This position reports to the Director of Global Sales and works closely with Business Development, the Regional Sales Directors, the Sales Support Coordinator, and Marketing.
Responsibilities
Prospect Development & Outreach
• Execute outbound outreach to the decision-makers on Business Development’s target-aircraft lists, including DOMs, VPs of Maintenance, Directors of Aviation, Chief Pilots, Aviation Managers, Procurement, and owners.
• Move prospects from Target and Contact Identified into Engaged, and set qualified meetings and aircraft visits for the Regional Sales Directors.
• Personalize outreach around the aircraft and its situation rather than generic messaging, drawing on the account’s model, location, interior age, and upcoming maintenance events.
Lead Response & Qualification Support
• Respond promptly to inbound inquiries and marketing-generated leads, and complete first-level qualification for aircraft, scope, timing, and decision-maker.
• Route qualified leads to the appropriate territory owner with supporting background, enabling a clean handoff at the Qualified stage of the sales process.
• Apply the account-tiering framework (A+ Strategic, A High-Value, B Development, C Long-Term) when logging and prioritizing new prospects.
Nurture Campaign Coordination
• Run and track nurture campaigns for Development (B) and Long-Term (C) accounts in partnership with Marketing and Business Development.
• Keep periodic review cycles moving so that accounts advance as buying signals appear.
• Coordinate follow-up on leads generated at industry trade shows and events such as NBAA-BACE, EBACE, MEBAA, and regional events.
Meeting & Aircraft-Visit Coordination
• Schedule and confirm customer meetings and aircraft visits and assemble the supporting materials, drawing on Business Development’s pre-call intelligence packages covering the owner and operator, current maintenance provider, interior condition, decision-maker, and planned maintenance location.
• Support the weekly sales cadence by preparing top-of-funnel updates for the Monday global sales meeting and the Wednesday pipeline review.
CRM & Prospect Data
• Create and maintain accurate prospect, contact, and decision-maker records in the CRM, and log outreach and interactions with clear next actions.
• Keep contact and account data accurate, current, and complete, and partner with the Sales Support Coordinator on data quality and pipeline hygiene.
• Enter and update the required opportunity fields so that records are ready for the territory owner to advance.
Campaign & Signature-Program Support
• Support the signature G650 / G650ER 12-year inspection and interior refresh campaign by reaching out to owners and operators of aircraft entering the inspection window.
• Track outreach outcomes and contribute competitive and market observations back to Business Development and leadership.
Requirements
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Aviation Management, or a related field; equivalent experience considered in lieu of a degree.
• 1+ years in sales development, inside sales, lead generation, sales support, or customer and account coordination, preferably in aviation, aerospace, or another technical B2B environment.
• Confident written and verbal communication and the ability to open conversations with senior decision-makers.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and the discipline to keep records accurate, current, and complete.
• Strong organization and the ability to manage many concurrent prospects and follow-ups without letting items slip.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred
• Exposure to business aviation, MRO, completions, or aftermarket services.
• Experience with fleet and market-intelligence platforms (JETNET, Amstat, Aviation Week Intelligence Network) or with sales-engagement and outreach tools.
• Familiarity with the large-cabin fleet (Gulfstream G550/G650/G700; Bombardier Global and Challenger families).
• Experience executing outbound campaigns or nurture programs in partnership with marketing.
Working Conditions
• Primarily an office-based, on-site development and coordination role, with regular collaboration across sales, business development, and marketing.
• Occasional travel (approx. 10%) for industry events and campaign support.
• Extended hours may be required during campaign launches, event weeks, and reporting deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Attributes
• Is personable and poised, comfortable engaging with ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients, C-suite executives, and their representatives, and communicating with equal ease across internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Communicates with confidence and professionalism and is comfortable initiating contact with senior aviation decision-makers.
• Stays highly organized and reliable in following up so that no prospect or commitment is overlooked.
• Keeps prospect and contact data accurate, current, and complete, understanding that clean data drives the whole funnel.
• Brings a resourceful, self-directed approach to research and outreach across fragmented data sources.
• Works comfortably to weekly development targets while keeping the focus on qualified, high-value opportunities rather than raw activity.
• Collaborates effectively with Business Development, the Regional Sales Directors, Sales Support, and Marketing.
