The role

Every cup that leaves our Monaghan counter is made by hand, by someone who knows what they're doing. That's what we'll teach you.

As a Barista with us you're making coffee to the standard we hold across all ten of our shops, and you're the person our regulars see first thing in the morning. It's a craft and it's hospitality, in equal measure.

You don't need barista experience. If you're reliable, you've got common sense and you care about doing things properly, we'll teach you the rest.

What you'll be doing

• Making espresso, milk drinks, filter and matcha to Coffeeangel standard — full training given
• Welcoming customers and looking after them from the moment they come in
• Keeping the bar clean, calibrated and ready right through service
• Serving our food, baked and prepared by hand in our own kitchens
• Operating the till and handling orders accurately
• Restocking displays, fridges and service areas
• Receiving deliveries and carrying out temperature checks
• Completing HACCP records and cleaning logs

What we're looking for

• A reliable person who turns up and takes pride in their work
• Warmth with customers and good energy under pressure
• Comfortable standing for a full shift and lifting up to 10kg
• Available for a range of shifts including early starts from 6:30am, mornings, weekends and public holidays
• 35–40 hours a week
• Right to work in Ireland
• Minimum age 18

Experience in coffee or hospitality is a bonus, not a requirement — we'll train the right person from scratch.

Career progression

We promote from within: Floor Assistant / Level 1 Barista → Level 2 Barista → Level 3 Barista → Supervisor / Assistant Manager → Shop Manager. How fast you move depends on how you do, not how long you've been here.
