Conductor LLC

Senior Software Engineer

About Conductor:

Conductor is the leading enterprise AEO platform. Today’s top enterprise brands use Conductor to grow authority and visibility in both AI and traditional search engines. From tracking visibility in LLMs to real-time monitoring of technical site health and scaled AI content creation, Conductor provides a single source of truth that fuels digital growth—all from one platform.

Conductor is a mission-driven company with a commitment to innovation, customer success, and culture. For Conductor, success is improving the lives of everyone in our orbit—our customers, our customers' customers, our employee-owners, and our communities.

Conductor is looking for a Senior Front-end Engineer I to join our Core Pillar team — the team that owns the foundational building blocks of our product. You'll split your time between shaping the UI architecture and shared libraries that every product team builds on and delivering end-user-facing features in areas like configuration, self-service, and account management. Your work will be felt twice: by the engineers who build with your components, and by the customers who interact with what you ship.

This is a role for someone who thrives on collaboration, thinks in systems, and is just as energized by crafting a polished self-service workflow as by designing a reusable abstraction. You'll partner closely with product engineers, designers, backend teams, and leadership to align technical decisions with strategic goals — all in a fast-moving environment where AI-assisted development is not a buzzword but a daily practice.

What You'll Do —

  • Deliver customer-facing features: Own the front-end development of end-user features in the configuration and self-service layers — the surfaces where customers manage their accounts, permissions, and platform settings. You'll collaborate with product and design to ship experiences that are intuitive, reliable, and scalable across a diverse customer base.
  • Own core front-end architecture: Design and evolve the UI architecture that underpins multiple product domains, ensuring consistency, performance, and maintainability at scale.
  • Build foundational capabilities: Develop and maintain shared services and features — including authentication, authorization, configuration, and self-service workflows — that serve both end users and internal product teams.
  • Advance the micro-frontend ecosystem: Contribute to and improve our micro-frontend architecture, enabling autonomous teams to ship independently without sacrificing coherence.
  • Collaborate broadly and deeply: Work horizontally across product teams and vertically with leadership to align technical solutions with organizational strategy. Be the connective tissue between platform capabilities and product needs.
  • Provide technical leadership: Guide architectural decisions, conduct design reviews, and raise the front-end engineering bar through mentorship, code reviews, and thoughtful standards.
  • Leverage AI to multiply impact: Actively use AI coding agents and automation tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and pioneer efficient engineering workflows within the team.
  • Drive quality and reliability: Champion front-end testing strategies, performance budgets, and observability practices that keep the user experience fast and dependable.

Who You Are (Required Skills & Abilities):

  • 6+ years of professional experience in front-end or full-stack engineering, with a strong focus on building complex web applications.
  • Deep expertise in React and TypeScript, with an opinion on how to use them well at scale.
  • Strong command of web standards — HTML semantics, CSS layout and architecture, accessibility (WCAG), browser APIs, and modern performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with micro-frontend architectures — module federation, independent deployability, and the patterns that make them work (or break).
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS or equivalent) and an understanding of how front-end applications are deployed, served, and monitored in production.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development — agentic coding tools, context engineering, and workflow automation that go beyond simple autocomplete.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills — you can translate technical trade-offs into business language and build consensus across diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in a product-platform hybrid model — you can context-switch between shipping customer-facing features and building internal abstractions, and you understand how each informs the other.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or comparable professional experience in a software engineering role

Nice to Have:

  • Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for front-end applications (build optimization, preview deployments, automated visual regression testing).
