Our core business consists of creating custom-designed security solutions for our customers. We install, maintain, monitor, and inspect a wide range of integrated building protection systems, including access control, video camera surveillance, fire alarms, and burglar alarms. We prioritize service after the sale because we want to ensure our security solutions exceed our customer’s expectations, not just for today, but for years to come.

Technical Troubleshooting & Repair:

● Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to security and surveillance systems, including cameras, access control devices, alarm systems, and other related hardware and software.

● Conduct thorough system inspections and preventative maintenance to identify and address potential problems before they impact operations.

● Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring systems are restored to full functionality.

● Utilize diagnostic tools and software to analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement.

● Provide on-site technical assistance to customers, demonstrating professionalism and expertise.

Customer Service Excellence:

● Serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor to customers, providing clear explanations and solutions to their concerns.

● Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor, even when dealing with challenging situations.

● Proactively communicate with customers regarding the status of service requests and repairs, ensuring transparency and managing expectations.

● Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, fostering trust and loyalty.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing:

● Collaborate with the Service Coordinator and other technicians to ensure efficient service delivery and resource allocation.

● Share technical knowledge and expertise with other team members, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and development.

● Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, helping them develop their skills and knowledge.

Documentation & Reporting:

● Maintain accurate and detailed records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities.

● Complete service reports and documentation in a timely and professional manner.

● Utilize the service ERP system to track and manage service requests, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.

Qualifications:

● Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical or vocational training in electronics, electrical systems, or a related field is preferred.

● Experience: 5+ years of experience in technical support or field service, with a proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues. Experience in the fire, security and surveillance industry is required.

● Skills:

○ In-depth knowledge of security and surveillance systems, including hardware, software, and network components.

○ Expertise in troubleshooting and problem-solving, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

○ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

○ Strong organizational and time management skills.

○ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

○ Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

● Certifications: NICET Level 1 certification in Fire Alarm Systems, or equivalent is required. Additional certifications related to security and life safety systems are a plus.

Additional Requirements:

● May be required to work evenings or weekends occasionally to provide after-hours support.

● Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

● Must be able to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.

Location: Greater Columbia, SC area with occasional travel outside of the area required.

Travel: Frequent travel is required.
