About the position:

The Accounts Officer is a new role within our Finance team responsible for the integrity and efficiency of our global financial operations. It's an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit team who are operating in a global market, and help to improve processes.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting bank reconciliations to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Daily processing and reconciliation of sales across internal platforms
  • Processing supplier invoices, including foreign currency transactions, in line with policy and procedures and reconciling supplier statements
  • Preparing batch payments for all global entities and distributing remittance advices 
  • Managing and reconciling Airwallex virtual company cards, along with responding to employee queries
  • Processing of monthly journals and supporting with end-of-month reconciliations 
  • Completing and lodging Business Activity Statements (BAS) in line with tax regulations and deadlines.
  • Support travel requests and expense tracking for work related travel.
  • Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports to assess the company’s financial performance.
  • Ensuring accurate tax reporting and aiding in the preparation of annual tax returns


What are we seeking?

  • Prior experience as an Accounts Officer or equivalent role
  • Experience in month-end processes, including performing balance sheet reconciliations and month-end reporting
  • Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and accuracy in financial data management.
  • Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholder collaboration
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently manage responsibilities.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to changing work demands.
