About the Job


We are looking for a Junior Support Engineer to join our team and help ensure the reliability, performance, and efficiency of our cloud and data environments.

In this role, you will work closely with Engineering and Data teams to investigate technical issues, monitor cloud environments, and support the optimization of infrastructure and cloud costs. You will have the opportunity to work hands-on with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Oracle Cloud, as well as technologies including Terraform, Kubernetes, and cloud billing and cost management tools.

You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve cloud resource utilization, supporting cost optimization initiatives, and helping maintain visibility into infrastructure and cloud spend through dashboards and observability practices.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is curious, analytical, hands-on, and eager to grow their technical skills while working with cloud infrastructure, data, and FinOps practices.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and map current cloud costs, identifying waste and underutilized resources.
  • Implement rightsizing and autoscaling policies.
  • Negotiate and manage Savings Plans.
  • Create and maintain cost observability dashboards.
  • Define and enforce tagging policies.
  • Automate cost optimization routines.
  • Report savings achieved and recommend ongoing FinOps initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to balance cost and performance in architectural decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Oracle Cloud), including infrastructure, provisioning, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Proficiency with cloud billing and cost management tools (AWS Cost Explorer, GCP Billing, or OCI Billing).
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes.
