DK Law's Open Roles

Demand Writer

At DK Law, we don’t just represent our clients. We stand with them, all the way.

We’re modern injury and accident attorneys who go all the way for every client, from every background. At the heart of our work is a simple but powerful belief: every client’s experience matters, and we honor it as if it were our own. From the very first call to the final resolution, we approach every case with the mindset that it’s going the distance.

That same mindset fuels our workplace culture. We’re a team of purpose-driven professionals who care deeply, move fast, and never lose sight of the human side of what we do. If you're passionate about making an impact, growing with a team that values excellence and empathy, and being part of something bigger, we’d love to meet you.

We are seeking a Junior Demand Writer to prepare persuasive demand packages and help move clients’ cases toward resolution. In this role, you will transform well-organized case files, medical records, and supporting documentation into compelling narratives that clearly communicate each client’s injuries, treatment, damages, and overall experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong writer and detail-oriented professional who wants to develop expertise in personal injury advocacy. You will collaborate closely with attorneys and the Demands Team while gaining hands-on experience with settlements, insurance carriers, and the lifecycle of a personal injury claim.

We’re excited to grow our team and are handling all hiring in-house. To be considered for this position, please apply directly through Indeed, LinkedIn, or our official company website. All updates, contact, or communication should come straight from our internal recruiting team.

What You Will Do

  • Draft clear, persuasive, and well-supported demand packages for submission to insurance carriers
  • Review case files, medical records, bills, incident reports, and supporting documentation to accurately present each client’s damages
  • Work closely with attorneys and the Demands Team to support settlement efforts
  • Assist attorneys with reviewing and evaluating settlement offers
  • Prepare written counter-demands and communicate verbal counter-demands to insurance carriers and adjusters, as directed
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and their families regarding injuries, treatment, case progress, and settlement status
  • Ensure clients remain informed of important developments and status changes
  • Monitor case deadlines and prioritize files with approaching statutes of limitations
  • Serve as a liaison between the Demands and Litigation Teams when cases require escalation
  • Track case progress and accurately document communications, offers, and updates in the firm’s CRM
  • Prepare and send settlement releases to clients and insurance carriers
  • Review, organize, and document settlement correspondence received from insurance carriers
  • Answer and route incoming calls using a multi-line telephone system
  • Scan, copy, fax, organize, and file case-related documents
  • Role may include other relevant duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • One to two or more years of relevant professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Auto insurance claims adjusting, including bodily injury, property, or casualty claims
  • Personal injury or workers’ compensation legal support
  • Legal, academic, professional, or persuasive writing
  • Teaching English, communications, or a related subject
  • Another writing-intensive or case-management role
  • Exceptional writing, editing, grammar, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to organize complex information and develop clear, persuasive narratives
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
  • Prior personal injury experience is helpful but not required
