THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Asset Protection Analyst to join our team and help identify potential theft, fraud, policy violations, training gaps, and operational issues through data-driven analysis.

In this role, you will work closely with Investigators, Auditors, and client representatives to turn point-of-sale (POS) data, exception-based reports, video evidence, and other investigative resources into actionable insights. Your analysis will help clients understand emerging risks, strengthen operational controls, and support successful investigations and case resolutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Analysis & Asset Protection

·         Analyze POS transactions and exception-based reports to identify potential theft, dishonest activity, policy violations, training opportunities, and systemic issues across assigned client accounts.

·         Review transaction activity alongside available video footage to validate unusual or potentially suspicious activity at store or restaurant level.

·         Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and emerging risks that may contribute to financial loss or operational challenges.

Investigative Support

·         Generate and initiate potential case leads based on data analysis and investigative findings.

·         Provide investigators with relevant data, transaction details, video findings, and other supporting information to facilitate effective investigations and case closure.

·         Conduct additional research on POS and video information when requested by investigators or management.

·         Use available investigative technologies, systems, and resources to support case development and resolution.

·         Develop clear, detailed reports outlining identified issues, findings, supporting evidence, and relevant trends.

Reporting & Follow-Up

·         Prepare regular management reports summarizing exception analysis, identified trends, potential cases, and key findings.

·         Provide detailed reports and actionable insights to designated client contacts for review and follow-up.

·         Maintain accurate case notes and documentation, including follow-up actions and resolutions, to support future analysis and investigations.

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Accounting, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

·         Experience in data analysis, fraud analysis, loss prevention, audit, compliance, investigations, business intelligence, or a related analytical function is an advantage.

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify meaningful patterns and anomalies in large or complex datasets.

·         Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to reviewing information and evidence.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data reporting or business intelligence tools.

·         Ability to interpret and communicate data clearly through reports, findings, and recommendations.

·         Comfortable working with multiple systems and data sources simultaneously.

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with remote and cross-functional teams.

Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
