Partner Enablement Manager

About Foundant:

At Foundant, we empower mission-driven organizations to manage their data, workflows, and impact with our comprehensive software solutions. From grant management and community foundations to process automation and data collaboration, our combined expertise supports a diverse range of organizations - from nonprofits and charitable entities to corporations and governments.

We’ve created a powerhouse of solutions designed to meet the unique needs of organizations striving to make a difference. Together, we’re setting new standards in innovation, flexibility, and impact management by helping organizations achieve their missions more efficiently and effectively.

Overview

Foundant is looking for a Partner Enablement Manager to build and steward a partner ecosystem across four of our product lines: GivingData, CommunitySuite, Grant Lifecycle Manager (GLM), and Scholarship Lifecycle Manager (SLM). This is a relationship-first role — you will be the primary point of contact for a network of individual consultants and small professional services firms who operate in the community foundation, philanthropy, and grants management sector.

This role is not about building a large, formal program architecture. It is about cultivating trust with the right people, ensuring they are equipped to serve our mutual clients well, and creating the conditions for partners to grow our client community. You will also maintain a bench of vetted independent contractors who can flex into implementation capacity when project demand exceeds our internal team.

Where You’ll Work:

  • As a remote-first workplace, we believe in offering flexibility and the freedom to work where it suits you best, while staying connected through technology. Our global network of talent is supported by physical office hubs and virtual collaboration, fostering a dynamic environment where innovation and growth thrive.
  • With headquarters in Bozeman, Montana (Foundant), Toronto, Canada (SmartSimple), and our EMEA office in Dublin, Ireland, you’ll be part of a globally connected team. Whether you’re working remotely or from one of our office locations, you’ll be contributing to a vibrant, collaborative culture focused on driving meaningful impact across the world.

What You’ll Do:

Partner Relationship Management

This is the core of the role. You will own the relationships with all active and prospective partners across GivingData, CommunitySuite, GLM, and SLM.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all active partners
  • Conduct discovery conversations with potential partners to understand their expertise, client base, and strategic goals
  • Align each partner to one or more focus areas: Vendor Selection, Implementation Assistance, Specialized Support, or Implementation Lead
  • Host regular check-ins and quarterly business reviews with partners and internal leadership
  • Identify and onboard new partners with the skills our clients need — particularly in fund accounting, implementation, and grants management consulting

Partner-Sourced Pipeline & Business Development

You will work closely with partners to help them understand our value propositions well enough to represent us effectively in front of prospective clients.

  • Equip partners to represent Foundant products in vendor selection conversations, including demo capabilities and competitive positioning
  • Track and report on partner-sourced pipeline and closed deals
  • Identify opportunities to deepen partner engagement and expand their role in generating new business

Partner Enablement & Training

Partners need to understand our products deeply enough to serve clients well. You will coordinate the training and resources that make that possible.

  • Design customized training plans for each partner based on their focus area and product line
  • Coordinate with the Senior Manager of Learning & Enablement and subject matter experts to deliver 1:1 training sessions
  • Manage partner access to training materials, webinars, Knowledge Base articles, sandbox environments, etc
  • Ensure partners can confidently demonstrate platform functionality and represent our value propositions

Flex Contractor Bench Management

When implementation demand exceeds internal capacity, we rely on a bench of vetted independent contractors. You will own this bench.

  • Identify, vet, and onboard individual contractors with implementation expertise across GivingData, CommunitySuite, GLM, and SLM
  • Maintain an up-to-date roster of available contractors, their skills, availability, and product certifications
  • Coordinate with the Implementation team to deploy contractors on projects as needed
  • Ensure contractors are properly enabled and aligned to Foundant standards before engaging with clients

Collaborative Project Support

When partners and contractors are engaged on client projects, you will help ensure smooth coordination between all parties.

  • Facilitate project kickoffs between partners, contractors, and Foundant Implementation Project Managers
  • Establish timelines, deliverables, and communication cadences for joint projects
  • Serve as an escalation point for partner or contractor issues on active projects
  • Collect client satisfaction feedback and case studies from completed partner-led engagements

Program Operations & Reporting

  • Track and report on key partner program metrics: partner-sourced leads, deals closed, client satisfaction (CSAT), project success rates, and partner satisfaction
  • Maintain a documented partner registry with partner profiles, focus areas, and engagement history
  • Report program performance and ROI to leadership on a regular cadence
  • Continuously refine partner program structure and resources based on data and feedback

What You’ll Need:

  • 3–5 years of experience in partner management, channel partnerships, client success, or relationship management roles
  • Familiarity with the nonprofit, philanthropy, community foundation, or grants management sector
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted, long-term relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders
  • Customer-first mindset — you make decisions based on what is best for the client and partner, not just internal convenience
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and building processes where none previously existed
  • Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple partner relationships and active engagements simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills across different audiences — from individual contractors to executive stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset with experience tracking and reporting on KPIs

Preferred

  • Experience working with or in a consulting or professional services environment
  • Background in SaaS implementation, partner enablement, or learning & development
  • Experience building or standardizing programs across multiple teams or products
  • Existing relationships in the philanthropy/grants management consulting ecosystem
