  • Balance Sheet Optimization: Immediately tackle and streamline the balance sheet reconciliation process, managing increased volume efficiently as new clients and properties are onboarded.
  • Multi-Property / Multi-Client Management: Successfully balance workloads, journal entries, and financial reporting across multiple properties or client accounts without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Operational & Tech Integration: Seamlessly utilize hospitality and accounting platforms to process daily financial data and optimize workflows.
  • Process Efficiency & Client Service: Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, strengthen internal controls, and deliver a high level of service and clarity to client stakeholders.

Who You Are (Qualifications & Requirements)

  • The Experience: 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within hospitality, property accounting, or outsourced accounting services.
  • The Technical Base: A rock-solid understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, journal entries, and full-cycle account reconciliations.
  • The Hospitality Edge: Experience with hospitality-specific systems and platforms (e.g., Opera, Sertifi, Toast) is highly desired.
  • The Tech Stack: Hands-on experience or familiarity with Acumatica, Ottimate, and ProfitSword is a major plus.
  • The Mindset: A self-starter with fierce accountability. You are comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment, meeting strict reporting deadlines, and managing multiple client relationships with professional diplomacy.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Position Demands & Success Indicators (The Deal-Breakers)

To excel in this role, you must be able to demonstrate:

  • The ability to independently manage a full month-end close and heavy balance sheet reconciliations from day one.
