3.1 Program Coordinator


Position Overview

The Program Coordinator oversees daily operations at Hygea Healthcare's Bel Air residential program, serving up to 16 male residents in a 3.1 level of care. This role supports safe, organized, compliant, and recovery-focused services while providing visible leadership to residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations for the 16-bed male residential program at the 3.1 level of care.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, structured, and recovery-focused environment.
  • Provide daily leadership, direction, and support to program staff.
  • Coordinate staffing coverage and step in when operational support is needed.
  • Review staff schedules and timecards for accuracy.
  • Conduct regular property rounds and promptly address safety or operational concerns.
  • Support crisis intervention, resident needs, and continuity of care.
  • Promote resident engagement and meaningful recovery-focused programming.
  • Complete and track incident reports accurately and on time.
  • Conduct routine chart and documentation audits for compliance.
  • Maintain readiness for Joint Commission, COMAR, and other regulatory reviews.
  • Train and coach staff on documentation, policies, and compliance expectations.
  • Support staff accountability, morale, teamwork, and professional performance.
  • Participate in leadership meetings, on-call rotation, and occasional weekend coverage.
  • Assist with cross-site support, quality improvement, and special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral health, healthcare administration, social work, or a related field preferred.
  • CCDC, CSC-AD Preferred.
  • Two to three years of experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment preferred.
  • Knowledge of residential treatment, Joint Commission standards, and COMAR regulations preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage crises and work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and on-call rotation.

Work Environment

  • Requires regular walking throughout the property and active engagement in resident and staff areas.
  • May require evening, weekend, on-call, and limited cross-site support based on operational needs.
