Director, OEM Strategic Partnerships

About the Role

InFocus Solutions is seeking an experienced automotive executive to lead the development of strategic partnerships with automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

This role will focus on expanding InFocus beyond individual dealership relationships by establishing the company as an approved, endorsed, and trusted partner at the OEM and regional level. The Director of OEM Strategic Partnerships will build senior-level relationships with manufacturers, develop strategic programs, pursue approved-vendor and preferred-provider opportunities, and create partnerships that drive scalable dealer adoption.

This is not a traditional dealership or Tier 3 sales position. We are looking for someone who understands how to navigate complex OEM organizations, build executive-level relationships, and turn those relationships into meaningful programs and revenue opportunities.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with automotive OEMs and affiliated organizations.
  • Identify key executives, decision-makers, and influencers across dealer marketing, technology, customer experience, sales, aftersales, operations, data, and vendor management.
  • Build OEM-specific strategies and account plans for priority manufacturers.
  • Pursue opportunities for InFocus to become an OEM-approved vendor, certified provider, preferred solution, co-op eligible partner, or sponsored program provider.
  • Develop and lead pilot programs that demonstrate measurable value to both OEMs and their dealer networks.
  • Translate successful dealership results into compelling OEM-level business cases.
  • Lead executive presentations, proposals, ROI discussions, pilot proposals, and strategic conversations.
  • Maintain and advance a pipeline of OEM opportunities from initial relationship through pilot, approval, endorsement, and expansion.
  • Work cross-functionally with leadership, Sales, Client Success, Operations, Technology, Marketing, Data, Legal, Compliance, and Finance.
  • Use OEM relationships and endorsements to accelerate adoption across dealership networks.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate brings deep automotive industry experience and established credibility within both OEM and dealership environments.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • 10+ years of experience in automotive, automotive technology, dealer services, CRM, digital retail, marketing, data, or related industries.
  • Direct experience working with automotive OEMs.
  • Established relationships within major automotive manufacturers.
  • Experience developing Tier 1, Tier 2, and/or Tier 3 automotive programs.
  • Experience selling complex solutions to enterprise organizations.
  • Experience launching programs across large dealer networks.
  • Strong understanding of OEM procurement, certification, compliance, and vendor-approval processes.
  • Strong knowledge of dealership operations and economics.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop trusted relationships with senior executives.
  • Ability to translate technology and operational capabilities into measurable business outcomes.

Who Will Thrive in This Role

You may be a strong fit if you can comfortably move between an OEM executive meeting, a manufacturer program discussion, and a conversation with a dealer principal or general manager.

We’re especially interested in candidates who combine three strengths:

OEM Access — Existing credibility and relationships that can open doors.

Program Development — The ability to navigate an OEM organization and turn an introduction into a pilot, formal partnership, or scalable program.

Dealer Commercialization — The ability to turn OEM endorsement into actual dealer adoption and recurring business.

What Success Looks Like

During the first year, this leader will be expected to:

  • Build a strategic map of priority OEM opportunities.
  • Establish or deepen relationships with key OEM executives and program leaders.
  • Develop OEM-specific value propositions and business cases.
  • Move priority manufacturers into active strategic discussions.
  • Identify opportunities for pilots, certifications, preferred-vendor status, co-op eligibility, and formal OEM programs.
  • Convert successful opportunities into measurable dealer adoption and revenue.
  • Build a repeatable OEM partnership channel capable of supporting long-term growth for InFocus Solutions.

Ready to help build the next growth channel for InFocus Solutions? We’d love to hear from you.
