Report Structure:

This position will report directly to JHSS’s CEO. Note that this position will initially have no direct reports, as front-line staff who support these programs will report through the existing operational structure.

Employment Terms: Term Full-Time

Duration: 12 months with the possibility of extension

Compensation: 4 weeks vacation, monthly EDO, 4% employer matched pension, a competitive non-profit sector wages and benefit package.

Position Summary

The incumbent is primarily responsible for the implementation of JHSS’s new Fine Options, Community Service Order, and Youth Victim Restitution program models. As these programs mature, this position will work with the JHSS Leadership Team to help design, deliver and improve programming across JHSS.  


Key Accountabilities

  • Help oversee provincial wide roll-out of JHSS’s new Fine Options, Community Service Order, and Youth Victim Restitution program models. This includes but is not limited to:
    • The development of positive relationships with key stakeholders, including staff, clients, partners and placement agencies across the province.
    • Helping to ensure clear and proactive communication and support to stakeholders.
    • Helping to design and implement relevant polices and procedures.
    • Helping to design and procure a user-friendly website and online data portal.
    • Maintaining accurate, confidential participant records in accordance with privacy legislation and organizational standards.
    • Ensuring program documentation, forms, and workflows remain current and compliant.
    • Ensuring all program activities align with provincial requirements and organizational policies.
    • Identifying risks, trends, or compliance concerns and recommending solutions.
    • Preparing accurate and timely reports, statistics, and summaries for leadership, funders, and justice system partners.
    • Collecting participant feedback and utilize for continue program improvement.
  • Working with JHSS Senior Leadership to:

o   Develop, deliver and improve current and future programing at JHSS.

  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Perform all other duties as assigned/needed.


Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Diploma or degree in the Arts, Human Services, Social Work, Justice Studies, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience in project management, program coordination, case management, community services, or justice‑related work.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals facing social or economic barriers.
  • Driver’s licence is a strong asset, as significant travel may be required.
