Kraken Robotics is currently seeking a Logistics Supervisor to join our team in Rostock, Germany.


The Logistics Supervisor oversees and coordinates the daily operations of logistics and supply chain activities within the production facility, ensuring timely, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods. Ensures warehouse inventory levels are within appropriate levels and accurate.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise daily logistics operations and staff, including warehouse personnel and drivers, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to schedule.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including loading, unloading, and routing of deliveries. 
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock movements, reordering products as needed to maintain sufficient supply. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including DG compliance and international freight forwarding transportation regulations. 
  • Resolve logistical issues and delays promptly, maintaining communication with vendors, carriers, and customers. 
  • Prepare and analyze logistics reports for management to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement process improvements to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance supply chain performance. 
  • Train, evaluate, and mentor logistics team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. 
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable transportation regulations.
  • Report unsafe conditions or incidents promptly.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or related work experience.
  • Professional certification an asset including:  CPIM, P.LOG, CPSM, APICS or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of logistics experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in logistics, warehouse management or supply chain management.
  • Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Proven experience with international freight forwarding & transportation management.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite) is an asset.
  • International knowledge of shipping documentation and inventory control processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of DG and Import/Export compliance an asset
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing excellent internal and external customer service.

  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet operational demands.
