About the role

We are seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join our team at Lawrence Equipment As an Overhead Crane Operator, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials on our construction site. Your expertise will contribute to our commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Operate cranes and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently in a manufacturing setting.
• Operate sit-down forklifts to move materials through a manufacturing environment.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on cranes to ensure optimal performance.
• Coordinate with team members to lift, move, and position materials accurately.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in the manufacture of industrial machinery by moving materials as needed.
• Document operational activities and report any issues or malfunctions promptly.
• Keep accurate records of bin locations.
• Daily cycle counts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a crane operator or in heavy equipment operation.
• Proven experience as a sit-down forklift operator.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to crane functions and maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand construction plans.
• Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork.
• Familiarity with safety regulations in manufacturing environments is essential.
• Data Entry, Computer Skills.
• 2 or more years experience.
