About LineLeap

LineLeap is a venture-backed company built on a simple idea: Fun, Faster. The LineLeap app is the go-to platform for going out, where users can buy line skip passes, cover, event tickets, and more directly from their phone.

Today, LineLeap is the clear leader in nightlife technology, recently peaking at #42 among all apps nationwide, surpassing Starbucks, Ticketmaster, Airbnb, and more. LineLeap already has over 2 million users, 800 venues on the platform, and is doing tens of millions in annual revenue.

That scale gives us something rare: a deeply engaged, high-frequency relationship with the most valuable consumer demographic in the country. Every brand targeting the 21–35 demographic wants to reach these users, and LineLeap is uniquely positioned to influence behavior and purchasing decisions at scale.

We are now deepening our relationship with users and unlocking new monetization through a points and incentives system that rewards engagement with the brands and businesses they already love. Our scale and new product bets create the opportunity to become a category-defining consumer platform that shapes how people spend their time and what they choose to do.

About the Team

We are building a world-class analytics team at the intersection of data and AI, dedicated to driving transformation change, not incremental improvements, in how LineLeap grows and operates. As a small but high-impact team, we collaborate closely with stakeholders across the company to deliver fast, accurate, and actionable insights that shape strategy and drive results. As we scale, we’re looking for team members who bring creativity, collaboration, and a forward-thinking vision for what analytics can become in an AI-native world.

About You

You are someone who sets the bar high for themselves and wants to be a part of a team that does the same. You're not just comfortable with data and AI, you're obsessed with it. You find yourself going deep on problems not because you have to, but because you want to. You care about building systems with a high standard of quality while understanding the importance of quickly getting work into the hands of stakeholders. As a self-starter in a small but growing analytics team, you take ownership of projects, turning business needs into impactful analytics-driven solutions. You think in systems, not just dashboards. You understand that in an AI-driven world, clean data models and metadata don't just power charts, they power products, predictive models, and smarter operations. You believe that making a huge impact is done not by individuals, but by tight-knit teams that work hand-in-hand towards highly ambitious goals.

You have deep, proven analytics engineering experience. You bring 3-5 years in data analytics, analytics engineering, or BI roles, with demonstrated experience designing, implementing, operating, and extending Kimball dimensional models. You have strong SQL skills, preferably in BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake, and you know how to optimize queries for performance at scale.

You are a builder, not just a maintainer. You have taken data infrastructure from early-stage to something genuinely reliable and scalable. You have opinions about how things should be built, and you execute on those opinions. You do not wait to be told what to do, you identify what needs to exist and you build it.

You translate business needs into technical solutions. You are not just an engineer who works in a vacuum. You listen carefully to what stakeholders need, you ask the right questions, and you build solutions that actually solve the problem, not just the literal request.

You are fluent with AI tools. You are comfortable using AI tools to accelerate coding and documentation, while bringing the expertise and attention to detail needed to audit and correct output.

You have strong BI tool experience. You are familiar with BI tools, preferably Looker, and have experience distributing insights via reports and dashboards that people actually use. You know the difference between a dashboard that gets opened once and one that becomes part of how a team operates.

You thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment. You have operated in a startup or high-growth environment where priorities shift, resources are finite, and speed matters. You are energized by that context, not frustrated by it. You iterate quickly and improve continuously.

Nice to have. Experience supporting business subject areas such as marketing, finance, sales, product, or customer success. A strong perspective on the analytics engineering development cycle, data modeling, version control, documentation, testing, and codebase best practices. Experience using AI coding assistants, MCPs, and instruction files to increase velocity while maintaining quality. Familiarity with semantic layer design that supports AI toolings and queries.

About the Role

We’re looking for an Analytics Engineer to lead the future of analytics at LineLeap. You will own the development and vision for our data models and architecture, utilizing AI tools to move faster and build smarter. Leveraging and building with AI in mind to drive outsized impact, helping Lineleap move dramatically faster and operate more effectively than traditional analytics teams ever could.

You will set the foundation, best practices, and processes for scalable and efficient data operations. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, as well as the product and engineering teams, to make data and analytics a core part of all aspects of LineLeap, enhancing our reporting capabilities and driving impactful results and process improvements. This is not a support role, it is a builder's role. You will take our dbt instance from 1 to 100 and leave a lasting mark on how this company uses data to make decisions.

What You’ll Do

Own the data model architecture. You will design, develop, and maintain data models ensuring our core data entities are structured not just for BI, but as high-quality context for current and future AI systems. You are the Directly Responsible Individual for the development and execution of core data models and analytics infrastructure, setting the standard for reliability, maintainability, and performance.

Drive speed-to-insights. You will own the modeling of data into usable, scalable formats that enable self-service analytics for internal and external stakeholders. The goal is to reduce the time between a business question being asked and a confident answer being in the hands of the person who needs it.

Build and maintain systems that last. You will create, define, and maintain architecture and systems documentation, ensuring all work meets high standards for style, maintainability, and best practices. Speed cannot create technical debt. You build infrastructure that allows the team to move fast without breaking things.

Enable self-service analytics across the company. You will support a well-maintained data catalog, training, and resources that allow teams across LineLeap to answer their own questions without always needing to come to analytics. Empowering others is part of the job.

Partner with the business to drive outcomes. You will build strong relationships with stakeholders across product, marketing, finance, and operations to influence strategy and measure outcomes. You will develop a deep understanding of how every part of LineLeap functions in theory and practice to help inform our roadmap and function as the “glue” of the company. You translate business requirements into technical solutions, and you communicate what the data means, not just what it says.

Lead the evolution of descriptive to predictive analytics. You will help the analytics team deliver core descriptive analytics to each department and lead future projects in prescriptive and predictive analytics. You are not just reporting on what happened, you are helping the company understand what will happen and what to do about it.

Leverage AI to move faster and build smarter. You will augment your workflow with AI tooling to increase output where possible. This means using AI coding assistants, automation, and emerging tools not as a novelty, but as a core part of how you work, accelerating development while maintaining the quality and attention to detail the role demands.

What Success Looks Like

The data foundation is solid and trusted. Stakeholders across the company rely on data models that are accurate, fast, and well-documented. The dbt instance is a source of pride, not a source of anxiety. Data quality issues are caught before they reach dashboards.

Self-service analytics becomes a reality. Teams across LineLeap can answer their own data questions without bottlenecking through analytics. The data catalog is complete and actively used. Training and documentation are in place and effective.

Insights drive decisions, not just reports. The work you do translates into real business outcomes, better product decisions, sharper marketing performance, tighter financial planning. Stakeholders come to you not just for data, but for perspective.

The analytics function scales with the company. As LineLeap grows, the data infrastructure you build grows with it. New business lines, new product bets, and new data sources are onboarded cleanly and quickly. You set the architecture today that handles 10x the data volume tomorrow.
