Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced credentialing professional to ensure uninterrupted privileging for a portfolio of military medical providers. This position works daily with medical providers, unit leadership, and a credentialing vendor to ensure every provider remains credentialed and privileged for their assigned state and any geographic location to which they may be deployed.

The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of two years of direct JCCQAS experience, a proactive approach to managing multiple concurrent provider records without allowing any credential to lapse, and strong coordination skills across providers, units, and third-party credentialing systems. Telework is not authorized.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with medical providers, unit leadership, and the credentialing vendor to ensure all medical providers remain privileged without any lapse in credentials
  • Ensure credentials of all medical providers remain current for the applicable state without lapse at all times
  • Request Inter-Facility Credentials Transfer Briefs no later than 60 days prior to a provider's planned deployment; ensure providers are credentialed for the state or geographic location covered by their orders
  • Upload all required credentialing documents for medical providers to the DoD centralized credentialing system; notify the credentialing vendor within 14 calendar days that the provider record has been updated
  • Notify the credentialing vendor of all new medical providers; onboard providers after verifying military affiliation and orders
  • Support medical providers' units with Board Certification Pay and Incentive Pay request documentation
  • Submit privileging verification memos to the applicable recruiting branch for retention incentive payments
  • Maintain and distribute a current Provider Management Tracker for all credentialed providers to senior medical leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Minimum two (2) years functional experience in the Joint Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (JCCQAS) — this is a disqualifying minimum requirement
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI / Public Trust Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DoD medical provider credentialing and privileging processes
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple concurrent provider records without allowing credential lapses
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Exchange, Teams, SharePoint
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, meet deadlines, and control sensitive and confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior military service or direct experience supporting the National Guard or Army Reserve
  • Currently active DoD Common Access Card (CAC) and/or existing favorable security clearance adjudication — candidates with an active Secret clearance or higher fully meet and exceed the NACI/Public Trust minimum requirement
  • Experience supporting DoD medical program administration in a military or government contracting environment
  • Familiarity with multiple DoD medical database and administrative systems
  • Experience with the DoD Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (CCQAS) and coordination with DoD credentialing vendors
  • Familiarity with Inter-Facility Credentials Transfer Brief processes for deploying providers
  • Knowledge of Board Certification Pay and Incentive Pay documentation requirements for military medical providers
