Senior Manager, Wholesale

Please note that this is a hybrid position of 4 days/week in our Los Angeles office



What You'll Do

Large Account Management: 

Responsible for managing all aspects of the sales process for new and existing accounts

  • Build and nurture relationships with existing accounts, serving as their main point of contact and working collaboratively to analyze their business needs
  • Build and manage the product assortment plan for all accounts
  • Ensure optimal product selection, strong classification coverage, and brand representation within each store
  • Drive in-season business through reorder replenishment and proactively identifying sales growth opportunities
  • Partner with marketing team to support CRM related events and other activations
  • Partner with operations team to track order confirmations, shipping & chargebacks
  • Serve as brand ambassador with external retail teams by becoming a product expert, communicating brand vision, coordinating distribution of marketing materials and distributing visual merchandising standards
  • Act as liaison to meet evolving needs of retail stores within each account
  • Build and manage incentive programs for store teams to drive in-store sales and sell thru
  • Coordinate special requests from accounts with merchandising, design and production                                             
  • Communicate with accounts on an ongoing basis regarding current and future state of business (monthly/weekly/daily)  
  • Provide sales support to wholesale accounts including product knowledge, seminars, in-store events, etc.


Business Development:


  • Target new business, analyze brand adjacency and positioning, and survey the general market for new wholesale opportunities
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities
  • Partner with MeUndies’ Executive team to create and present wholesale pitch decks for new account opportunities
  • Present curated seasonal product assortment to potential qualified buyers and follow up to secure orders against sales presentations
  • Take ownership of NuOrder setup and maintenance (e.g. assortment selection by season), utilizing the platform to drive new business and process orders.


Sales Strategy, Forecasting and Planning:


  • Develop and implement effective and strategic sales plans to maximize revenue and achieve growth objectives
  • Work closely with the finance and operations teams to develop accurate sales forecasts
  • Communicate retail trends, sales performance and competitive market position to broader cross-functional team
  • Maintain detailed business forecast quarterly and annually by all accounts managed
  • Provide seasonal product projections by style/color/size for each account and monitor actualized sales against projections
  • Prepare and provide seasonal fiscal plans by account informed by direct feedback and insights from key account buyers   
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and end-of-season sales recaps including overall performance, style selling, profitability and opportunities for future growth
  • Prepare quarterly wholesale updates for MeUndies’ Executives and Board of Directors


Trade Shows, Events, and Travel:


  • Build annual trade show calendar identifying which shows we should attend and the budget and attendees required by show
  • Leading up to trade shows, serve as the point person to coordinate all cross-functional efforts (e.g. NuOrder, Operations, Assortment and showroom setup, creative and marketing needs)
  • Manage and represent MeUndies at industry trade shows and events to showcase our products and build relationships with potential clients,independent sales representatives, sales agencies, and vendors
  • Coordinate trade show retros to ensure we have codified learnings, and follow up with vendors, reps, and buyers after each show


Travel Requirements:

  • Travel and spend regular time in stores to merchandise, provide product knowledge clinics, throw events, and gain a clear overview of the business potential per market.
  • Minimum 5 times per year travel for market, store training, or trade shows.

What You Have

  • Proven track record of success in a similar account executive or sales role
  • Strong understanding of the fashion and accessories market with a keen eye for trends
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel for vendor meetings, trade shows, and events, including overnight and on weekends, as needed
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external teams
  • Understanding of sales principles and ability to deliver excellent customer experience
  • Analytical prowess, easily able to structure and digest data to identify areas of opportunity and risk
  • Ability to multitask, juggle numerous projects, competing priorities and tight deadlines simultaneously while maintaining quality 
  • Strong adaptability, flexibility, resourcefulness, and solution oriented
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic understanding of retail math
  • Capable of creating models in Excel and analyzing data and KPIs
  • Experience working in Netsuite // Shopify // NuOrder

The base salary range for this full-time position is $106k -$140k. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the base salary range provided in this posting does not include any bonus, equity, or benefits you may be eligible for.
