Position Summary

Mile Marker is seeking a strategically minded and digitally native Planner, Social Media to manage integrated organic social programs while supporting broader digital media planning activities. This role sits at the intersection of content strategy, community engagement, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate will spend the majority of their time driving brand presence through organic social channels and community management, while dedicating approximately 30% of their capacity to supporting the day-to-day planning, implementation, and optimization of digital media campaigns.


Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Community Management (70% Focus)

  • Content Management: Develop and manage monthly editorial calendars and organic publishing workflows across Meta and other social platforms.
  • Creative: Leverage existing creative content and messaging framework to edit social copy aligned with brand voice; collaborate with creative teams who will develop static, carousel, and short-form video content.
  • Community Engagement: Monitor brand channels for comments and direct messages, responding in a timely, brand-appropriate manner.
  • Moderation & Risk: Manage escalation workflows for sensitive topics and identify potential compliance issues or reputational risks.
  • Social Intelligence: Support social listening programs to monitor trends, sentiment, and competitor conversations to surface actionable insights.
  • Paid Media: Collaborate with the Biddable (Paid Search and Social team) day-to-day to execute and optimize paid content and understand results and insights
  • Influencer Management: Facilitate creator collaboration through strategic briefing, content coordination, and end-to-end campaign implementation.
  • Client Success: Support the day-to-day success of client relationships, providing effective communication, end-to-end project management, and creative problem-solving


Media Planning & Support (30% Focus)

  • Media Planning: Participate in the strategic planning process for top tier clients, including research, digital media strategy development, tactical planning, and final persuasive presentation, ensuring precision and creativity
  • Develop, plan, and execute innovative media strategies - primarily digital media plans - with the ability to negotiate and purchase media from external partners and provide strategic guidance for internal Paid Search and Paid Social teams
  • Campaign Support: Assist in the day-to-day planning, analysis, and optimization of digital media activities.
  • Strategic Execution: Help develop and execute innovative media strategies, providing support for internal Paid Search and Paid Social teams.
  • Budget & Administration: Manage campaign authorizations, track budgets, and assist with the reconciliation process.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Monitor and assess ongoing campaign performance; assist in strategic analysis of campaigns with strong proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Vendor Relations: Maintain relationships with digital publishers and adtech partners to explore new testing initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in social media management, community management, or digital media planning
  • 1+ years with account / client services and/or project management responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of Meta platforms (Facebook/Instagram); experience with TikTok preferred
  • Some knowledge of media channels including Digital Display, Digital Video, Paid Social, Programmatic
  • Experience analyzing data, including analyzing both raw and refined data sets
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and deliver with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to operate in undefined areas (“gray areas”) with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks
  • Ability to work autonomously yet seek counsel when necessary
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Strong ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining extraordinary attention to detail
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with colleagues and vendors
  • Required PC proficiency as well as proficient to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and/or Google Sheets/Slides.


The pay range for this role is:

$60,000 - $65,000 per year (Hybrid)
