About the role

MISSION is seeking a versatile, experienced Marketing Manager, Content & Programs to help bring our corporate and program marketing strategies to life. This role will lead marketing initiatives from concept through execution, partnering closely with MISSION leadership, program teams, internal Marketing & Communications colleagues, and external partners.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on: someone who can develop a marketing plan, shape the message, manage the work, and drive it across the finish line. This person should be comfortable moving between multiple priorities and audiences while maintaining a high standard for quality, consistency, and execution. Translating business objectives into clear marketing plans, shaping messaging and campaign direction, and collaborating with stakeholders to bring those plans to life is essential.

Experience in insurance, particularly specialty insurance, program business, MGA/program administration, or related areas, is strongly preferred. Candidates with relevant financial services experience will also be considered.

This role offers significant opportunity to grow as MISSION and its portfolio of programs continue to expand.

What you'll do

Program & Corporate Marketing

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns supporting MISSION and its programs.
  • Serve as a marketing partner to program leaders, helping translate business objectives into actionable marketing plans.
  • Support the launch and ongoing growth of new programs, including positioning, messaging, brand rollout, website content, collateral, social media, and go-to-market materials.
  • Develop marketing initiatives that strengthen awareness and engagement among brokers, carriers, partners, prospective talent, and other key audiences.
  • Identify opportunities to better showcase MISSION's programs, expertise, capabilities, and results.

Content & Campaigns

  • Develop compelling content across digital, social, web, email, presentations, sales materials, thought leadership, and other channels.
  • Own the marketing content calendar and help establish a consistent flow of relevant corporate and program content.
  • Turn complex insurance and business concepts into clear, engaging communications for different audiences.
  • Partner with the Communications Coordinator, designer, PR agency, and other resources to execute integrated campaigns.
  • Help identify and develop stories, subject matter experts, thought-leadership opportunities, and content themes across the organization.

Marketing Project Leadership

  • Work with the Marketing Operations Manager to schedule and execute marketing initiatives from initial brief through final delivery, establishing objectives, timelines, stakeholders, deliverables, and measures of success.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects involving internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Develop strong creative briefs and provide clear direction to design and other creative resources.
  • Balance multiple concurrent projects and proactively communicate priorities, risks, and next steps.
  • Help improve processes that make the Marketing & Communications team more efficient and scalable.

Digital & Sales Enablement

  • Partner on corporate and program website strategy, content development, and ongoing optimization.
  • Develop materials that help program leaders and MISSION teams communicate their value proposition effectively.
  • Support broker, distribution, recruiting, and business-development initiatives with relevant marketing tools and campaigns.
  • Use available performance data to evaluate marketing effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive marketing experience, ideally in B2B or professional services environments.
  • Insurance industry experience strongly preferred, particularly within specialty insurance, program business, MGA/program administration, brokerage, carrier, reinsurance, or adjacent sectors.
  • Relevant financial services experience will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns, with a reliance on interpreting data analytics.
  • Strong writing, editing, messaging, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to understand complex products and translate them into clear, compelling marketing communications.
  • Experience managing projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to operate independently with limited oversight.
  • Comfortable working directly with senior leaders and subject matter experts.
  • Experience working with designers, agencies, PR partners, and other external vendors.
  • Understanding of digital marketing, websites, social media, email, and content marketing.
  • Strong attention to detail without losing sight of broader business objectives.

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate will become a trusted marketing partner across MISSION; someone program leaders can turn to with a business objective and trust to determine the right marketing approach. They will bring structure and ownership to marketing initiatives, improve the quality and consistency of our content and campaigns, and help MISSION tell a stronger story about its people, programs, expertise, and growth.
