Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barista to join our team! The ideal candidate loves coffee and is committed to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will craft a variety of coffee beverages, maintain equipment, and create a welcoming environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

●      Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages to customers according to established recipes and standards.

●      Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and answering any questions about menu items.

●      Operate equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and blenders, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.

●      Assist in managing the coffee bar inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies as needed.

●      Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.

●      Stay current on coffee trends, products, and techniques to provide informed recommendations to guests.

●      Assist with the preparation of food items, such as pastries and light snacks, if applicable.

●      Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and maintain a balanced cash drawer.

●      Effectively communicate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications/Skills:

●      Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and brewing methods.

●      Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

●      Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

●      Proper communication skills to connect effectively with co-workers and guests.

●      Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture.

●      Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize.

●      Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Essential Physical Functions:

• Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per day.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Will frequently stand, walk, reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data.
• Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
• Must tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic.
• Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, and soy.
• Report to work in the required complete uniform.
• Maintain a well-groomed appearance and persona that reflects the restaurant's image.
• Meet personal schedule requirements punctually.
• Be courteous, friendly, and pleasant.
