Mytra

Senior Project Engineering Manager

About Mytra:

We’re creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We’re focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a “sleepy” industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.

About the role

Mytra’s Customer Operations Team is looking for a collaborative, high energy Project Manager to own planning, delivery, and hand off of our robotics structure and auxiliary systems.

The CO team is the connective tissue between internal Mytra functions and the end user. We make sure the product is correctly commissioned at our customer sites and the end users not only know how to use the system, but are using it in the best possible way to reap the most benefit for their organization.

As a Project Engineering Project Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and transition of advanced robotics and automation solutions within a fast-growing startup environment. This role partners closely with technical program managers, solutions engineers, deployment teams, sustainment technicians, and customer success teams to support successful customer project implementation and scalable production readiness. You will play a key role in driving project timelines, coordinating cross functional efforts, and ensuring projects are delivered effectively from concept through deployment.

What you’ll do

  • Leading complex automation initiatives through each phase of execution, ensuring alignment across internal teams, vendors, and customer partners.
  • Owning overall project delivery by maintaining timelines, coordinating resources, and addressing potential project risks before they impact execution.
  • Building strong customer relationships by leading communication, facilitating decision making discussions, and ensuring stakeholders remain informed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prioritizing and manage several active projects simultaneously while adapting to shifting business needs and implementation schedules.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance team efficiency, and support the development of scalable project management standards and best practices.

Ideal Candidates:

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience (automation field preferred)
  • Led cross functional automation installation projects from kickoff through go live, coordinating engineering, software, controls, operations, and customer stakeholders to deliver projects on schedule and within budget
  • Managed project timelines, risk mitigation plans, and resource allocation for warehouse and material handling automation implementations
  • Served as the primary customer contact throughout project execution, providing regular status updates, managing expectations, and resolving project issues proactively.
  • Managed multiple concurrent automation projects in fast paced environments while balancing competing priorities and maintaining strong stakeholder communication.
  • Developed and maintained detailed project schedules, action item trackers, and executive level reporting using Smartsheet.
  • Partnered with sales and solutions teams during presales and design phases to support project scoping, proposal development, and implementation planning.
  • Coordinated integration efforts between WMS/WCS software teams, controls engineers, and mechanical installation partners to support seamless system deployment.
  • Drove continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps, standardizing project workflows, and improving implementation efficiency across teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (civil, mechanical, structural, industrial), or related technical field

Nice to have:

  • You’re very comfortable developing timelines and driving towards an objective, and have experience taking a project from kickoff and permitting through build complete.
  • You are excited about working on an immature project, growing together, and shaping the future of the company.
  • Uncertainty isn’t scary, and you’re willing to realize mistakes and pivot (start-up mindset).
  • You’re familiar with Notion, Smartsheet and/or any other task/project management platform. Being well-versed in scrum/agile workflows is a bonus.
  • You can convey complex ideas and technical concepts to a diverse audience. You communicate early and often.
  • Openness, inquisitiveness, and constant ambition are important values.
