Mytra

Bot Production Team Lead

About Mytra:

We’re creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We’re focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a “sleepy” industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.

About the role

As the Bot Production Lead on Mytra's new Bot Production team, you'll be the person who keeps the line moving and the builds flowing. This is a hands-on, working-lead role: you'll build bots alongside your team every day while setting the pace, holding the quality bar, and keeping production on schedule against real customer commitments. You'll start by ramping deep on the product itself, training shoulder-to-shoulder with our Bot Prototype and Manufacturing technicians so you know these bots inside and out, and then carry that expertise onto the production floor as the team stands up and scales.

This is a role for someone who loves building things right, repeatably, and at pace. You take pride in a clean, well-run line, you know how to keep a team moving, and you're the first person a technician turns to when something looks off. You'll work closely with the manager to plan the day, run the floor, solve what you can on the spot, and raise the things that matter so they get handled and don't come back.

What you'll do:

  • Run the production line day to day, keeping builds on track to the approved plan, assigning and sequencing work across the team, and stepping in on the floor to keep momentum.
  • Build alongside your technicians, setting the standard for quality and craftsmanship at every station.
  • Hold the line to released specs and SOPs, making sure the team is always building to the current, validated revision so only good product moves forward.
  • Own first-line quality on the floor, catching issues early, and making sure any fallout or nonconforming units are pulled and routed to the Bot Prototype team for rework so the line stays clean and flowing.
  • Be the first point of contact for your technicians, resolving the everyday issues that keep a line healthy and knowing which ones to raise to the manager.
  • Partner with the manager and NPI to turn the build plan into a smooth daily cadence, and grow into more of that planning over time.
  • Write and close tickets (Linear), document floor issues clearly, and collaborate with Engineering, Planning, and Quality as builds require, keeping the manager looped in on anything affecting quality, schedule, or design.
  • Champion safety on the floor, leading by example on PPE, shop practices, and a clean, organized workspace.
  • Help onboard and train Bot Production Technicians as the team grows, and help build the culture of the team from day one.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Have hands-on production or manufacturing build experience, ideally with electro-mechanical hardware, robotics, or comparable technical assembly.
  • Take pride in repeatability and process discipline: building to SOPs, holding a quality bar, and hitting schedule in a delivery-driven environment.
  • Thrives in a new environment, and wants to set the solid foundation for a new formed team, being a trailblazer
  • Are technically strong enough to triage build issues on the floor, figure out what can be solved on the spot, and know when to raise something up.
  • Can read and build to drawings, work instructions, and BOMs, and reason about revision changes across builds.
  • Have solid assembly fundamentals: hand tools, fastening, cable and harness routing, and an eye for build quality.
  • Are natural team leaders who keep people moving, communicate clearly, and lift the people around them.
  • Are comfortable in an industrial environment working around heavy equipment, and follow shop safety practices without being asked.

Nice to have:

  • Experience running or leading an assembly or production line as it scaled.
  • Familiarity with 3D models or CAD (Onshape a plus; we'll give you time to ramp), enough to communicate build issues precisely.
  • Exposure to PLM/ERP systems (Arena, NetSuite) and ticketing/collaboration tools (Linear, Notion, Slack, JIRA).
  • Wire soldering, connector crimping, or schematic reading.
  • Forklift and/or personnel lift certification.
  • Familiarity with MES and work-instruction systems.

Career Growth:

Bot Production is a brand new team, and this is the seat that helps build it. You'll shape how the line runs, how the team works, and how we scale production as Mytra grows. You'll build deep product knowledge alongside our Prototype and manufacturing engineers, and the expertise you gain here opens paths toward manufacturing engineering, production management, sustainment, or leading a larger production organization as we scale. We hold formal performance reviews twice a year, and we expect strong performers in this role to be on track toward growth as the team and company continue to scale.

A Final Note:

If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply, even if you don't check every box. At Mytra, we build bots, but we hire humans. We value thoughtful challengers who communicate with clarity and respect, and we're lifelong learners committed to getting better every day. We move fast, learn faster, and show up for each other under pressure. The best outcomes come from diverse perspectives working together to build something meaningful and built to last.
