Job Summary:

 

NCS Engineers, LLC (NCS) is hiring a Electrical Engineering Intern for our Water/Wastewater department at the NCS Phoenix Corporate Office. The candidate will work on water/wastewater projects  and learn and perform routine electrical engineering tasks under the direct supervision of a senior engineer with the goal of developing entry-level engineering skills.

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

·         Junior or Senior in an Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s degree program.

·         No experience required.

 

Qualifications/Skills Requirements:

·         Ability to work in a team environment.

·         Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills including detailed report preparation.

·         Excellent computer, math, and English skills.

·         Ability to drive to work.

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

·         Working knowledge of AutoCAD.

·         Working knowledge ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or Easy Power.

·         Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

·         None.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Provides general support to the engineering department as defined by supervisor.

·         Identifies potential areas of product improvement; recommends and assists with the development of appropriate solutions.

·         Assists one or more senior electrical engineers on projects.

·         Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift, up to 15 pounds at times.

·         Must be able to travel to various job sites and traverse locations to obtain necessary data.
