About Nectir
Nectir is the secure AI infrastructure purpose-built for schools. Nectir AI provides 24/7 personalized learning support grounded in course content, without compromising trust, outcomes, or academic integrity. Nectir AI can be integrated into existing Learning Management Systems and is fully FERPA- and SOC 2-compliant. Trusted by 80,000 students across 100+ campuses, Nectir is backed by independent, peer-reviewed research demonstrating a 7.5% campuswide GPA increase. Nectir has raised $18.5M from leading investors including Rethink Impact, Long Journey Ventures, and Entrada Ventures.
The Nectir AI platform is the product that every institution we work with logs into. It's a modern TypeScript web application where schools configure AI assistants grounded in their course content, integrate Nectir into the systems they already run on, and track how students actually engage. Over 100,000 students across 100+ campuses use it, and the surface area grows every quarter.
We're looking for a senior full-stack engineer who can take large projects from conception to completion across the platform. In a given quarter, you might rebuild the admin experience institutions use to set Nectir up, redesign how schools bring their course content into the system, ship a new analytics dashboard for faculty, harden the integration layer as we onboard a new LMS partner, or rethink the flow instructors use to configure AI assistants for their classrooms. You'll partner with AI engineering when features cross into the agent layer, but the core of your work is the platform itself: the product, the performance, the UX, and the architecture underneath it all.
You'll report to the Engineering Lead and collaborate closely with product, design, DevOps, and AI engineering.

No degree requirements. What you know and can do is more important than where you learned it.
We're a startup, which means the work moves fast, but the impact is real. You will not be a small cog in a big machine here, but the one building the machine itself.
This is a full-time, remote position, open to candidates anywhere in Latin America. You should be comfortable working with a significant overlap with US business hours.
Please include a link to your GitHub, a portfolio of past projects, or a brief description of a technical challenge you've solved recently. We care about how you think through problems, not just what languages you know.
