IT Support Specialist

Job Summary

We are hiring an IT Support Specialist with light systems administration responsibilities for an on-site role at our Dallas, TX office. You will provide in-person support to Dallas staff and serve as the on-site IT lead for newly acquired properties. You will also support users at our other corporate and leasing offices remotely through phone, email, Teams, and our RMM platform, with occasional travel to properties throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area.


This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working independently and taking ownership of issues from initial request through resolution. With your manager based two time zones away, you will prioritize tickets, exercise sound judgment, and communicate clearly when escalation is needed. As you develop in the role, you will take on broader systems administration responsibilities across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, endpoint management, and networking.


Responsibilities

End-User Support (L1/L2)

  • Serve as a first and second point of contact for users by phone, email, Teams, and ticketing
  • Support leasing office staff at properties nationwide, keeping their workstations, printers, phones, and network running so they can serve residents
  • Troubleshoot Windows endpoints, Microsoft 365 apps, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
  • Resolve printer, scanner, peripheral, and mobile device issues
  • Handle account requests: password resets, MFA enrollment, mailbox and distribution group changes
  • Support property-specific systems such as property management software
  • Own tickets from intake to resolution, with clear updates to users along the way

Light Systems Administration

  • Administer users, groups, and licenses in Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and a hybrid Active Directory / Entra ID environment
  • Provision and enroll new devices into domain environment
  • Run and adapt PowerShell scripts for routine admin, reporting, and remediation tasks
  • Assist with basic network support: switches and access points, ISP coordination

Onsite and Field Support

  • Provide hands-on support at the Dallas office and at properties in the DFW area
  • Set up workstations, conference room AV (Microsoft Teams Rooms), and network equipment
  • Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and our managed service provider for onsite work
  • Manage local hardware inventory, deployments, and device returns

Documentation and Process

  • Document fixes, procedures, and configurations in our knowledge base
  • Follow onboarding and offboarding checklists for users and devices
  • Flag recurring issues and suggest improvements or automation


Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of IT help desk or desktop support experience, ideally in a multi-site environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills on Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD) user and group management
  • Hands-on experience supporting users remotely with remote access or RMM tools
  • Basic networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and VPN
  • Comfortable working independently, prioritizing your own queue, and escalating with clear notes
  • Clear, friendly written and verbal communication with non-technical users
  • Valid Texas driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally within DFW

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RMM platform (ConnectWise preferably)
  • PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Microsoft Graph, or Active Directory
  • Experience with Intune, Windows Autopilot, and Conditional Access
  • Familiarity with networking and firewalls
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms or Logitech conference room systems
  • Experience in real estate, property management, or other multi-location businesses
  • Experience working alongside a managed service provider (MSP)
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft MD-102 / MS-102


Work Environment and Schedule

  • Location: On-site at our Dallas, TX office
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, business hours (Central Time)
  • Travel: Occasional local travel to the Dallas office and properties in the DFW area
  • After-hours: Occasional evening or weekend work for maintenance windows, deployments, or urgent issues
  • Physical: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in server closets, under desks, and on ladders when installing equipment

  • Salary range: $60,000 – $80,000, based on experience

Our IT team is small and hands-on with co-managing MSP partner for backend support. We support roughly 250 users across offices and properties on a modern Microsoft 365 and hybrid Entra ID stack, centrally managed through RMM. You will report to the Director of IT in Beverly Hills and be our primary IT presence in Texas.
