Talent Acquisition Specialist

The Role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will develop and manage talent pipeline to meet headcount goals for the veterinary recruitment team. They will create and execute sourcing strategies for existing and new markets, utilizing job boards, social media, networks, and industry events to find qualified talent. As an initial contact for prospects, they will assess competencies, set expectations, and manage the top of the funnel recruitment process. This role will collaborate with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition leadership. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will ensure alignment with talent KPIs and report on key recruitment metrics to provide actionable insights.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain robust talent pipelines to align with Petfolk’s headcount plans
  • Develop and manage talent acquisition sourcing strategies for existing markets and new market expansions
  • Leverage various sourcing tools, including online job boards, social media, professional networks, and industry events, to identify licensed veterinarians.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for prospects, assessing core competencies, and setting candidate expectations.
  • Influence the new requisition process, serving as a liaison between hiring managers and Talent Acquisition Leadership.
  • Report on talent KPIs, providing insights to core Talent Acquisition leadership stakeholders.

Education & Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in full life-cycle recruitment, staffing agency experience is preferred
  • 1+ years experience working in Greenhouse and/or similar applicant tracking systems
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute on innovative sourcing strategies to ensure alignment and success against prospect to candidate conversion KPIs
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment
  • Self-motivated, creative problem solver, and results driven individual with a focus on exceeding targets
  • Bachelor’s Degree of equivalent experience required
  • Veterinary recruitment experience is a plus


Work Environmant

  • This job will be based out of our New York City Office and will be required to be on-site 4 days per week, with the 5th day optional as work remotely or from the office.
  • Requires a dedicated workspace with reliable internet access. 
  • While the position is mainly on-site, it involves regular virtual communication through video conferencing, email, and other collaborative tools.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary range of $60,000 to $70,000 Plus Bonus
