Practifi Open Roles

Technical SaaS Project Manager

About Practifi (The Real Story)

We build Salesforce-native software for financial advisors, and we're honest about what that actually means day to day: real clients, real deadlines, and a product that has to work in a regulated, detail-obsessed industry. We're under 100 people, remote-first across the US and Australia, and we still know each other's names. What you see in this posting is what you get. No mission-statement theater, no ping-pong table photos standing in for substance.

The Opportunity (What This Role Really Means)

When a financial advisory firm signs with Practifi, the Technical SaaS Project Manager is the person who turns that signed Statement of Work into a client that's actually live, actually trained, and actually happy. You'll own the delivery of implementation projects end to end, working alongside Business Analysts, Consultants, and Data Engineers to keep scope honest, timelines realistic, and clients informed. This isn't a role where you push a JIRA board and hope for the best. It's a role where your judgment about risk, scope, and communication determines whether a go-live is smooth or stressful.

Your Day-to-Day (The Honest Version)

The Core Work

Build the project plan with the client based on the signed SOW, then run the kickoff that sets the tone for the whole engagement.

Own the project through every stage of the implementation lifecycle, from requirements gathering through UAT, go-live, and the two-week post-go-live support window.

Create and manage every JIRA task tied to technical work, with the right assignment, sprint, story points, and due date, and keep Asana milestone plans current.

Protect scope. When something falls outside the SOW, you flag it for intake or deferral instead of letting it quietly become unbilled work.

The Reality Check

You'll be managing multiple regulated-industry clients at once, and some weeks the volume of status meetings, UAT questions, and risk flags will be real. You won't be doing it alone. You'll have a Practibuddy from day one, a team that includes experienced Business Analysts and Data Engineers who know the product cold, and a hiring manager who wants to hear about risk early, not after it's a fire.

The Growth Part

Practifi promotes from within, and PMO is no exception. You'll have a Learnbucks stipend to put toward certifications like PMP or Scrum Master, direct exposure to how a growing SaaS company scales its delivery function, and a hiring manager who's building this role with room for it to grow into more scope over time.

What We're Really Looking For

The Must-Haves

3–5 years of project management experience, ideally in fintech, insurance, banking, or another regulated industry where compliance and process discipline matter.

Hands-on experience running projects in JIRA and Asana, including task creation, sprint assignment, and status tracking.

Strong written and verbal communication skills. You'll be the primary voice clients hear between kickoff and go-live.

Comfort holding clients and internal teams accountable to a plan, diplomatically but firmly.

The Nice-to-Haves

PMP or Certified Scrum Master (or actively working toward one).

Prior experience implementing SaaS or CRM software (Salesforce experience is a strong plus, not a requirement).

Experience working with data engineers or technical teams on system implementations.

The More Important Stuff

We'd rather hire someone with strong instincts and less direct fintech exposure than someone with the perfect resume and no curiosity. If you ask good questions, you're honest when something's off track, and you genuinely like the puzzle of keeping a complex project moving, that matters more than a checklist match.

What Taking This Leap Gets You

The Practical Stuff

      Base salary: $80,000–$95,000

20 days Paid Leave, 10 sick days, and 3 personal days, all available from day one.

3 paid volunteering days per year.

      Annual Learnbucks education stipend.

The Cultural Stuff

A Practibuddy mentor from your first week.

Bi-annual in-person summits in Chicago to connect with the team you talk to on Slack every day.

      Genuinely remote-first, not remote-in-name-only.

Living Our Values Daily

Growth: Learnbucks toward your PMP or CSM, and a clear path to more scope as you grow into the role.

Collaboration: You'll work daily with BAs, Consultants, and Data Engineers as one delivery team, not a hand-off chain.

Transparency: The salary range above is the real range. No games, no "depends on negotiation."

Curiosity: We want you asking why a client's process works the way it does, not just following a template.

Integrity: Protecting scope and flagging risk early is how we keep trust with clients and with each other.
