About the Role

The Paid Media Associate is responsible for supporting the successful implementation of Priorities USA’s digital paid media programs for the 2026 election cycle. As a member of the Digital Communications team, you’ll work cross-functionally with Priorities USA staff, including (but not limited to) the creative, analytics, and other teams to execute cutting-edge digital media programs: you’ll help execute ad buys, optimize and pace campaigns, and provide general support to the Digital Communications Team. This role will assist in advising on program tactics and using program reporting to optimize ongoing campaigns and inform future campaigns. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build or deepen their paid media skills in a fast-paced political environment.

In particular, we are not currently accepting applicants based in Florida, Hawaii, Missouri, and Texas due to regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Ad buy prep. Work with the Senior Paid Media Manager to ensure that campaigns are ready for launch. This means supporting processes like political verification/disclaimer set up, pixel placement, ad sourcing/tracking, finalized creative delivery, Q/A processes, audience onboarding, and other logistics required to ensure timely and efficient program launches. This is detail-oriented, high-volume work where catching small errors before launch makes a big difference.
  • Ad buy execution. Traffic ads and tags to self-serve platforms (Facebook, Google Ads, The Trade Desk, CM360, etc.) expertly, efficiently, and accurately. You will be responsible for making sure all campaigns are set up in a way that is aligned with best practices and approved media plans. You'll develop fluency across multiple platforms and ad serving tools, and will be responsible for executing a large volume of trafficking tasks with consistency and precision.
  • Reporting. Work with data and analytics staff to access data related to performance of live campaigns. Work with the Senior Paid Media Manager to develop program insights. Develop comfort pulling and interpreting campaign data in Excel and Google Sheets to surface performance insights and optimizations.
  • Collaboration and communication. Clearly communicate program updates to the Senior Paid Media Manager and the Paid Media Director. Proactively flag campaign issues, anticipate needs before they become blockers, and bring forward new ideas to improve team workflows.
  • Flexibility. Maintain a level of flexibility in the specific expectations of this job as the Priorities program takes clearer shape.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 cycle or 1-2 years of experience working within a paid media planning and buying team OR experience on a campaign or with a political organization, focused on persuasion and mobilization oriented paid media programs is preferred.
  • Comfort working with numbers and data (Excel and Google Sheets); ability to look at a spreadsheet and identify trends or anomalies, or eagerness to develop that skill.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational/project management skills; ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem solving skills and interpersonal skills; ability to respond to crises calmly and with poise.
  • A detailed and curious understanding of the media landscape, including the desire to stay up to date on changes to policies both in the broader media space and political space.
  • Demonstrates a proactive work style, anticipates what's coming up, works through obstacles independently, and isn't afraid to ask questions or raise new ideas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience working in key self-serve advertising platforms (Facebook, Google Ads, Snapchat, etc.) and at least 1 DSP (The Trade Desk, DV360, etc.) Experience working with ad serving technology like CM360 is a plus.
