turbine maintenance experience, and the ability to lead and develop technicians. Working with the Plant Manager,
you will lead daily field activities, troubleshoot turbine faults, and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled
maintenance while promoting safe work practices, improving turbine reliability and availability, and ensuring work is
completed and documented to a high standard.

What You Will Do

  • Lead daily crew activities, assign tasks based on technician qualifications, and coordinate work with the Plant Manager and contractors.
  • Plan and perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, inspections, and component replacements using
sound technical judgment and safe work practices.
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control system faults on Vestas V100 turbines using schematics,
technical manuals, fault history, and approved diagnostic tools.
  • Help prioritize faulted turbines and outstanding repairs, identify support needs, and communicate recovery plans and progress to the Plant Manager.
  • Provide technical direction and hands-on support to technicians. Coach team members in troubleshooting, safe work practices, and maintenance quality.
  • Lead pre-task planning and job safety discussions. Follow and reinforce lockout/tagout, electrical safety, fall protection, rescue, and environmental procedures.
  • Verify completed work, support safe return to service, and identify repeat issues or opportunities to improve maintenance practices.
  • Coordinate tooling, consumables, and spare parts needs; document parts usage and support inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate work orders, troubleshooting notes, labor entries, and maintenance records in the site’s
computerized maintenance management system and other required reporting tools.
  • Communicate equipment conditions, safety concerns, and work status to site leadership and other operational stakeholders.
  • Support applicable site, customer, regulatory, and NERC compliance activities within assigned responsibilities.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and respond to outages outside normal working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Required Qualifications

  • At least three years of wind turbine field service experience, including preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to independently diagnose turbine faults and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, hydraulic diagrams, and technical procedures.
  • Ability to lead field crews, organize work, communicate clearly, and mentor technicians.
  • Sound judgment, accountability, and a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
  • Proficiency with computers, digital work orders, and maintenance reporting systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
  • Availability for rotating on-call coverage and occasional travel for training or support at other sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vestas V100 maintenance and troubleshooting experience is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience as a lead technician, crew lead, or senior technician with responsibility for directing work and
    developing others.
  • Technical training or certifications relevant to wind turbine maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, or
    mechanical systems.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This position involves regular turbine climbing, work at heights and in confined spaces, and physically demanding
maintenance tasks. Work takes place outdoors in changing weather conditions and requires the use of personal
