The Opportunity

SKYTRAC is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our growing team. Reporting to the Manager, Programs, you'll take ownership of technical projects across the organization - keeping them on track, on budget, and aligned with both customer expectations and our broader strategic goals.


This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical complexity and human collaboration. You'll be the connective tissue between engineering teams, customers, and leadership, building trusted relationships with stakeholders at every level while driving projects forward with clarity and confidence. Success in this role requires exceptional organization, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously without missing a beat. As a proactive, self-directed professional, you take ownership of outcomes and anticipate challenges before they surface rather than waiting to be told what comes next. Equally important, you are an empathetic listener who understands that effective project management is as much about people as it is about process, enabling you to align teams, navigate competing priorities, and deliver results with confidence.


This position is based on-site in our Kelowna, BC office.


As a Technical Project Manager, responsibilities include:

  • Lead technical projects end-to-end, from initial planning through delivery, ensuring alignment with project charters, customer requirements, and organizational priorities
  • Own project schedules and resource allocation, proactively identifying risks and keeping milestones on track
  • Serve as the central point of contact between project teams, customers, and internal stakeholders - communicating clearly and resolving issues before they escalate
  • Monitor project dependencies, track risks, and keep leadership informed with regular, structured status updates
  • Ensure all deliverables meet defined scope, quality standards, and customer expectations
  • Contribute to proposal preparation and resource planning by offering input on timelines and technical feasibility
  • Maintain thorough project documentation to support accurate tracking and reporting across the organization

What You Bring


Candidate Must Have’s

  • 2+ years of project management experience, including customer engagement, technical oversight, and business development support
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Exceptional communicator - confident presenting to leadership, comfortable in a technical conversation, and skilled at translating between both

 

This will make you stand out

  • Experience in the aerospace industry
  • Familiarity with aerospace contracts and domain-specific requirements
  • Knowledge of satellite networks and mobile communications platforms such as Iridium or Globalstar
  • Experience operating within an ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management system

This position is for an existing vacancy within our Program Management team.

The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 CAD. The range posted is a guide and may not represent the compensation offered to the successful candidate. Compensation is based on the skills, knowledge, experience, and qualifications brought to the role.
