About This Role

SpartanX is seeking an experienced SSR Quality Control Supervisor to lead our Site Survey Report (SSR) Quality Control team and ensure every project entering Design and Engineering is built on accurate, complete, and technically sound field data.

This role is responsible for supervising the offshore SSR QC team, establishing quality standards, auditing work, monitoring productivity, and driving continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of residential electrical systems, solid solar knowledge, and proven leadership experience managing production-based teams.

As the leader of the SSR QC department, you'll work closely with Site Survey, Design, Engineering, Permitting, and Operations to improve data quality, reduce project delays, and create scalable quality assurance processes across the organization.


Overall Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop the SSR Quality Control team
  • Establish daily production goals and quality expectations
  • Monitor employee productivity, accuracy, and turnaround times
  • Conduct quality audits and provide coaching and performance feedback
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new SSR QC Specialists
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence


Quality Control Oversight

  • Review and approve Site Survey Reports (SSRs) before release to Design and Engineering
  • Ensure all required documentation, measurements, photos, and electrical information are complete
  • Verify electrical components including:
    • Main Service Panels
    • Subpanels
    • Meter locations
    • Breaker sizing
    • Conductor sizing
    • Grounding and bonding
    • Service equipment
  • Identify recurring survey deficiencies and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain department-wide quality standards and consistency


Operational Support

  • Partner with Site Survey, Design, Engineering, Permitting, Scheduling, and Operations teams
  • Resolve escalated SSR issues and technical questions
  • Monitor department KPIs including:
    • Accuracy
    • Turnaround time
    • Error rates
    • Rework percentage
    • Production volume
  • Develop reports and performance dashboards for leadership
  • Recommend workflow improvements that increase efficiency while maintaining quality


Qualifications

  • Strong residential electrical knowledge required
  • Residential solar experience strongly preferred
  • Previous quality control or technical review experience required
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience required
  • Strong understanding of residential solar construction and project workflows
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting production deadlines
  • Comfortable working with CRMs, spreadsheets, cloud-based platforms, and project management systems


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Site Survey Review or SSR QC experience
  • Experience supporting Engineering or Design departments
  • Understanding of NEC requirements and residential electrical code
  • Experience managing offshore or remote production teams
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement experience
  • Experience developing SOPs and KPI reporting
