Senior Associate: Transaction Advisory Services

Succession Resource Group (SRG) is a boutique consulting firm specializing in succession planning, valuation, and transaction advisory for financial advisors, RIAs, and other small business owners. We help clients value, grow, protect, and plan the transition of their businesses, pairing deep technical expertise with white-glove, strategy-first service across valuation, equity and compensation design, entity work, succession readiness, and buy- and sell-side transactions.

We are just as intentional about how we work. SRG is a fully remote team across nearly a dozen states and a two-time honoree on Inc.'s Best Workplaces list (2024 and 2026), a recognition earned through anonymous employee feedback. Our culture runs on a single commitment: Show Up Daily, for our clients, our craft, and each other.

Succession Resource Group is a 100% remote firm. This role does not require travel or transportation, nor does it require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking. Reasonable accommodations are available to enable qualified individuals to perform these essential functions.

Description

As a Senior Associate on our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team, you will work directly with clients and the Senior Consultant to move deals and succession plans forward, helping buyers and sellers complete transactions and helping owners plan the shift of ownership and control from one generation to the next. Your assistance with models, documents, communications, and analyses will let clients make every decision with full information, contributing to purchase price strategy, deal terms and structure, and multigenerational transition plans.

You will lead your own workstreams and take ownership of complex problems, working side by side with clients to uncover the root issues behind a deal or transition, help design creative and practical solutions, and build the capabilities in others that deliver lasting impact. You will draft and review deliverables for Senior Consultant approval, contribute to strategy design, and keep engagements organized and on track.

This role sits between our Associate and Senior Consultant positions. You will support the Senior Consultant across engagements and, as availability and readiness allow, lead or co-lead client calls and select engagements. You will also mentor Associates, sharing what you know and helping them grow, without carrying formal management responsibility. Senior Associates who excel build the judgment, client skills, and technical depth to step into a Senior Consultant role.

When You Join SRG

  • Continuous learning and apprenticeship. You will work alongside experienced Senior Consultants who invest in your development. Feedback here is frequent, direct, and aimed at helping you grow.
  • Ownership and impact. You will own real workstreams and see your work shape client outcomes. The path to Senior Consultant runs through the responsibility you take on here.
  • Your ideas matter. We value initiative and fresh thinking at every level, and you will help design the strategies and solutions our clients rely on, and will also contribute to advancements in systems and processes that drive organizational impact.
