QC Supervisor

Stark Carpet is seeking an experienced QC Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Supervision
  • Lead, train, and mentor Quality Control (QC) Inspectors and Packers within the department.
  • Assign daily tasks, monitor team performance, and ensure adherence to production schedules.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to maintain high standards of quality and productivity.
  • Enforce safety protocols, workplace procedures, and company policies consistently.

Quality Assurance

  • Inspect luxury rugs for workmanship, color accuracy, pattern alignment, binding/serging precision, and overall finishing quality.
  • Approve or reject rugs based on established quality standards and document any defects or variances.
  • Develop and implement quality checkpoints throughout the production process to reduce rework, defects, and returns.
  • Partner with Fabrication, Finishing, and Shipping teams to identify and resolve quality issues quickly and effectively.
  • Maintain consistent inspection standards to ensure finished products meet company requirements.

Process & Continuous Improvement

  • Review and update QC procedures, inspection criteria, and training materials as needed.
  • Identify recurring quality issues and collaborate with leadership to develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Track defects, quality trends, and key performance indicators.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly quality performance reports.
  • Support Lean and 5S initiatives to improve efficiency, organization, and workflow while minimizing waste.
  • Recommend process improvements that strengthen product quality and departmental performance.

Customer & Client Standards

  • Ensure all rugs meet the high-quality standards expected by luxury clients and support the company’s brand reputation.
  • Maintain a strong attention to detail and commitment to exceptional craftsmanship.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and Design teams to clarify product specifications and client requirements.
  • Assist in resolving quality concerns or disputes promptly and professionally.


Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in quality control, textile manufacturing, rug/flooring fabrication, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience required.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of rug construction, serging, binding, and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, design specifications, diagrams, and production instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production management systems such as M3, Factory Track, Dancik, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively across departments and communicate quality expectations clearly.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move rugs, materials, and other items weighing up to 50 lbs. multiple times throughout the workday.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 lbs. multiple times throughout the workday.
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, and bend for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform physical inspections of rugs for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and visual attention required to perform detailed quality inspections.
  • Ability to safely handle and maneuver rugs and materials as needed throughout the production and inspection process.
